ou’ve likely been dreaming of your big day since you were a little girl. Over the past few months, you’ve purchased every magazine and scoured countless Instagram feeds for wedding inspiration. Well, look no further. I’m going to give you five tips on how to be picture perfect on your wedding day! As a wedding photographer, we are hired to capture the essence of your wedding, so you can look back at your album with glee. 1. Find Your Light

First things first, in order to have great photos, you have to have good lighting. Sometimes we can create it, but you can’t make lemonade out

of oranges. The bridal suite at many wedding venues are not conducive for creative photos. If bridal prep photos are important to you, choose a location with an abundance of light, even if that means getting ready at a location that is different than your venue. 2. Pick a Side

Part your hair on the side that you’re going to be photographed on. That way, we aren’t unnecessarily fighting around your hair to see your beautiful face. On the wedding day, you’ll align camera left during the ceremony. So, I always ask my brides if they have a favorite side. If they do, I suggest parting their hair on that side.
