These spacious rooms blend contemporary design with effortless elegance and are decorated in a sophisticated palette of fuchsia and silver or in delicate tones of gold and burgundy, with Italian marble bathrooms. The hotel’s Michelin-starred signature restaurant “Rasoi by Vineet” offers the cuisine of renowned chef, Vineet Bahtia, who specialises in “evolved” Indian food. The restaurant is decorated in vibrant colours of reds and purples to create a truly stylish Indian escape with an outside terrace providing a welcome addition in the warm summer months. A beautifully designed open tandoori oven, located at the entrance of Rasoi and visible from the lobby, provides a striking centrepiece, European-style luxury “Caf Calla” offers modern and refined all day dining for hotel guests and locals alike. Its chic d cor of beige, bronze and amber shades makes it sophisticated yet casual and an ideal venue for casual daytime diners or for a business luncheon. By night it transforms itself with dramatic and stylish lighting, creating a more intimate dining experience. A FAIRY TALE CAPTIVATING WORK OF ART Perrier-Jouët House of Champagne is unveiling the 2005 vintage** of its celebrated Cuvée Belle Epoque Rosé in a limited-edition bottle designed by internationallyacclaimed Brazilian visual artist Vik Muniz. Vik Muniz conceived a fairy-tale encounter of a brilliant golden hummingbird with the Perrier-Jouët anemone that has graced every Belle Epoque bottle for over a century. When the lively bird admires the flower’s natural elegance, the latter’s white petals turn gently pink. Originally created from scraps of gold, the enchanting scene was photographed and applied by the artist to the Belle Epoque bottle via a gold plate on which the hummingbird seemingly flies towards the foreground anemones. Clear glass allows the wine’s salmon shade to offset Muniz’s delicately sensual depiction. The fruit of this artistic collaboration between Perrier-Jouët and Vik Muniz bears a natural grace, born from a shared belief in nature’s power to inspire and a common devotion to craftsmanship. Indeed, Muniz shares the champagne house’s Art Nouveau belief in bringing beauty to everyday life.

MAITRE CABINOTIER ASTRONOMICA

L’ART CELESTE DE TUTOYER LES ETOILES THE HEAVENLY ART OF REACHING FOR THE STARS

Inspired by the world’s most complicated wristwatch that paid eloquent tribute in 2005 to the 250th anniversary of the Geneva-based Manufacture – Vacheron Constantin’s very famous Tour de l’Ile, the unique Maître Cabinotier Astronomica watch once again demonstrates the remarkable expertise Vacheron Constantin has acquired in the art of combining multiple complications within an extremely small space. Boldly reaching for the stars, Calibre 2755-B1 is one of the most complex ever made by the Manufacture and features a number of unusual – mainly astronomical – complications. This mechanical manual-winding movement with a 58-hour power reserve offers an original combination of 15 complications driven by 839 parts, while measuring a modest 33.90 mm in diameter and 12.15 mm thick. These many useful functions, which can be read off on both the dial side and the back of this watch, constitute an authentic technical feat. Firstly by incorporating the specific mechanisms of the 15 complications within a wristwatch and ensuring that they run to perfection; secondly in terms of ensuring optimal legibility and comfort on the wrist; and thirdly by maintaining a sophisticated design and taut, sleek lines. Moreover, both this unique wristwatch and its movement bear the prestigious Hallmark of Geneva. Summing up the refined skills mastered by the Manufacture since 1755, this Grande Complication model named Maître Cabinotier Astronomica also evokes the spirit of the “Atelier Cabinotiers” created by Vacheron Constantin in 2006. This extremely specialised service of creating bespoke Haute Horlogerie watches reconnects with the time when Geneva’s highly specialised watchmaking artisans – the cabinotiers – plied their trade in attic-type workshops as they crafted unique watches commissioned by prestigious clients. The one-of-a-kind Maître Cabinotier Astronomica is a natural heir to this philosophy of combining watchmaking excellence with personalisation in accordance with customers’ individual wishes.

Vacheron Constantin once again challenged its most experienced master-watchmakers to create an extremely sophisticated Grande Complication wristwatch, equipped with an exceptional set of functions.
