One of my favorite things about the holidays is to go see the city all decked up with holiday lights, tinsel trim and colorful glittery displays that further add to San Francisco’s stunning and magical vibe.
For the most part, I love hanging out in the sparkling Union Square and getting awed by the decorative enchanting holiday store windows that are so elaborate and bring lots of joy to all the passersby on Stockton and O’Farrell Streets.
The perfect place to click a holiday photo is by the 83 foot Christmas tree with more than 33,000 twinkling lights and 1,100 shining ornaments. Every year, my daughter loves to skate at the holiday ice skating rink here, a wondrous holiday tradition. This is definitely a festive part of town to dine and walk around, to listen to some holiday music on the streets and in the stores, to do some holiday shopping and soak in the holiday cheer.
Holiday lights are one of the simple pleasures of the holiday season and nobody does it better than Blackhawk. It’s a joy to drive around Blackhawk and see all the holiday lights illuminating the homes and sometimes the entire street.
Hope my Blackhawk Living Magazine community had a beautiful holiday season. Cheers to 2019 and wishing you all an incredible year ahead!

As an amateur photographer, I have always loved taking beautiful photos of my friends and family, nature and travels. After having a fulfilling career in finance in New York, I moved to California in 2014 where my love for photography turned into an invigorating passion. The mountains, valleys, flowers, water and parks never looked so captivating before. I look for vibrant colors and different shades of life. I love capturing anything that intrigues and inspires me. Moving to gorgeous Blackhawk has further enriched and blossomed my love for the camera. I take my camera everywhere, regardless of how short the distance is. Knowing me, there is always a photo opportunity!
