As we enter into the first few months of 2020, it is evident that the kitchens and baths of the past will be evolving. Bespoke design and customization are on the rise, and the smart home trend has fully infiltrated into every room in our house. At this year’s 2020 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, better known as KBIS, in Las Vegas, NV, innovation was on the forefront.
Transitional and contemporary styles are ever popular, while more modern and art deco styles will be on the rise. The clean and bright white kitchen will become two toned, and dark, dramatic colors will make a huge splash this year with colors such as black, green and Pantone’s 2020 Color of the Year, Classic Blue! Customized kitchens and baths will become the new standard. Products that come in an array of different colors and finishes, set each home apart from the other. True Residential, a high-end refrigerator manufacturer, offers unique and bold color options such as Saffron and Blue, which is quite a contrast to the tried and true stainless-steel refrigerator.
In a world focused on technology but also sustainability, it’s only fitting that our kitchens and baths become smart as well. Elevating the spa-like shower are aromatherapy infused shower heads by Aroma Sense. Samsung’s new slidein ranges are equipped with “intelligent controls” that learn its’ owners cooking habits to suggest commonly used settings.
Sustainably responsible manufacturers are also on the rise, as we make an effort to become a more green culture, saving water and salvaging materials.
With innovation, sustainability, and style on the rise in 2020, it will surely be a year of high design and trends that will become timeless classics in the world of kitchen & baths.
