Remembering Jon Snyder
By David Tom, Resident Since 1990
TheBlackhawk Museum held its inaugural Jon Snyder Memorial Father’s Day Car Show on June 19, 2022. The annual Father’s Day car show was named after Jon Snyder who was a Blackhawk Museum Director when he passed away in 2021. Jon was involved with the Museum for 24 years and the Father’s Day car show was his favorite event. As has been the tradition, the crowd was treated to a spectacular display of cars from across the Bay, family activities and live music from Juke Joint performing classic soul and R&B tunes from the 60’s and 70’s. This is not your typical car show, but rather a celebration for the whole family. As this is one of the largest car shows put on by the Blackhawk Museum, you won’t want to miss this year’s 2nd annual Jon Snyder Memorial Father’s Day Car Show on June 18, 2023. It is guaranteed to kick off a fun day remembering, and celebrating, dad.
David Tom: I have lived in Danville for 30 years. I retired from the corporate tax world and now pursue a variety of projects that interest me. I have always loved cars and look forward to sharing them with you.
