By The Tri-Valley Animal Rescue

Established in 1992, Tri-Valley Animal Rescue (TVAR) is a 501(c)3 that helps save over a 1,000 animals a year in the Tri-Valley and surrounding areas. TVAR cooperates with area shelters and rescue groups, primarily the East County Animal Shelter, to provide homeless animals with socialization, foster homes, medical care and an opportunity for a second chance.

3 of those animals that TVAR is providing a second chance for are Bennie, Jet and Tiny Dancer. These sweet kittens are looking for their forever homes and all are affectionate and loving but each with its own personality. (See TVAR.org for more details). All three have tested positive for FIV, but there is a big chance they are not actually FIV positive. Many kittens can get a “false positive” reading when they are tested at such a young age. Once they are 6 months, TVAR will perform a definitive test at our expense. Should these kitties in fact test positive for FIV, many FIV positive cats live long happy lives, and require very little special care. Please go to FIVCATRESCUE.ORG for more information about FIV cats.
