October 26 VACANT COMMERCIAL BUILDING DESTROYED

DOWNTOWN - At 7:33PM, Crews responded to the 200 block of East 3rd Street to find a well-developed fire inside a large vacant commercial building. It took the relentless effort of over 130 Firefighters to control the Major Emergency blaze, which consumed the three-story structure. An official knockdown was not declared for a couple of days.

Fiery Crash Kills Two

WOODLAND HILLS - A man and his teenage son died when their coupe caught fire after being forcefully struck by a sedan in the 23100 block of Mulholland Drive. The uninjured driver of the sedan was taken into police custody.

NORTHRIDGEFirefighters quickly extinguished a municipal trash truck well involved with fire at the intersection of Nordhoff Street and Zelzah Avenue. No one was injured in the blaze.
