WIND DRIVEN VEGETATION FIRE EXTENDS TO COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS

SUN VALLEY - More than 165 members of the LAFD were joined by Firefighters from the neighboring cities of Burbank and Glendale in a twoand-a-half-hour battle against a Santa Ana wind-driven wildfire that quickly consumed nearly two acres of vegetation adjacent to the 5 Freeway at Penrose Avenue. The fire damaged several businesses, but no injuries were reported.

November 19 BOAT FIRE

SUN VALLEY - At 11:07PM, Firefighters responded to a fire in the 11800 block of Strathern Street and found a small boat fully engulfed in flames. A knockdown was quickly achieved.

November 28 CREWS RESCUE WOMAN FROM CLIFF

PORTER RANCH - The LAFD responded by ground and air to rescue a woman stranded with minor injuries on a steep cliff at WilburTampa Park. Firefighters rapidly descended the cliff to secure her with a harness and deployed a two-line rope system to safely hoist her to the top of the trail.
