The international lens is focused directly on the North Okanagan. Go With Me, which was shot in Enderby, Armstrong, Vernon and Lumby, was officially premiered at the Venice Film Festival Friday night and was screened to the media earlier that day. “The press conference was a full house of international press,” said producer Rick Dugdale from Italy, Friday. “According to our publicist, that’s a great sign that people like it.” And the first question from an Italian reporter was about the location of the movie. “He thought the town in the movie became a character in the movie and that’s

what we always wanted. It was a compliment that we executed our plan,” said Dugdale. “This is a tough, bleak suspense thriller. The cinematographer did a great job of capturing the area in the late fall and early winter.” Star Alexander Ludwig then went on to explain to reporters that Enderby is Dugdale’s hometown and his production company, Enderby Entertainment, is named after the city.

front of the camera and behind the scenes. With the press conference over, Dugdale was waiting for the premiere Friday night. “It’s both exciting and nerve-wracking,” he said. And the response at one of the world’s most prestigious film festivals could have a major impact on the future of Go With Me. “It increases further sales in foreign territories and what it does for North America is it means we have the first reviews,” said Dugdale. “If there are good reviews, it could mean different distribution deals for us. Before the end of September, we will commit to a distributor and then talk markets and roll-out.” It’s anticipated Go With Me will be released in April or May.
