SUPPORTING YOUR SUPPLIER DIVERSITY AND PROCUREMENT GOALS SUPPLIER DIVERSITY Blackwoods is a founding and active member of Supply Nation, an organisation focused on introducing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander owned and operated businesses to organisations where supplier diversity is a priority. Blackwoods and Wesfarmers have committed to the objectives of the 2019 Raising the Bar procurement targets and have programs in place to engage Indigenous businesses in the supply of goods and services. Blackwoods itself collaborates with a stable of outstanding Indigenous owned businesses, suppliers and contractors each playing a vital and growing role in our operations and the range we offer customers.

AN INCLUSIVE WORKPLACE Our commitment is to make our business a great place to work, where everyone is valued for their contribution. Indigenous engagement, cultural awareness, cultural competence, and safety are significant elements of that commitment. As a supporter of the Federal Employment Parity Initiative. Blackwoods is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and in developing sustainable talent pipelines, including hosting paid University Interns of CareerTrackers and the School Based Trainees of The Clontarf Foundation. From initial online induction Reconciliation Action Plan introductory learning programs, through to face-to face Cultural Awareness and Inclusion training sessions, and at events significant within Indigenous culture, our people learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and our commitment to Indigenous engagement. Since 2017, over 1,100 team members have participated in Blackwoods’ interactive face-to face Cultural Awareness sessions, with another 1000 also completing online awareness programs. A key priority for us is building a world-class, diverse team, one where suppliers, contractors, service providers and customers, as well as Indigenous and non-Indigenous team members are valued for their contribution.

16

PARTNERSHIP WITH THE FRED HOLLOWS FOUNDATION Blackwoods’ long-standing support of The Fred Hollows Indigenous Australia Program has been bolstered by donations generated via sales of select PROSAFE eye and face protection products. Blackwoods donations directed toward improving Indigenous health exceed $3,000,000. Not only do our customers receive quality safety equipment that is tested and compliant with Australian standards, but a portion of their purchases are directly assisting The Foundation and their work within the Indigenous community. Blackwoods also facilitates a workplace giving program so that team members can contribute to the valuable work of the Fred Hollows program. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults are three times more likely to go blind than non-Indigenous Australians, yet 94% of their vision loss is preventable or treatable. The Fred Hollows Foundation works to put an end to these alarming figures by focusing on education, screening and treatment.
