COMMUNITY CLASSES

Out Reach & Health Community classes are an amazing to improve health outcomes in our communities. Why because when we have community spaces that we can get together in we get to know one another and look out for each other.

GET TOGETHER By Ashley Adams

Kid need to be engaged in healthy safe environments. Community classes provide a way for them to make meaningful lasting friendships. In addition to benefiting from all that yoga has to offer.

Classes for and more people Seniors More are living alone these

days. With the highest number of those people being seniors. These are people that in many cases have lost connection to their community.

Providing community classes at assisted living facilities and local parks can serve as a way to reengage seniors in a healthy and effective way.

Many of our communities and neighborhoods across America continue to struggle as a result of economic instability, diminishing resources, unemployment, demographic shifts and political complexities. In many neighborhoods, social bonds among neighbors are under stress and in many communities, a sense of community is severely needed. Holding space for people to connect with one another on a meaningful level can lead to a better community overall.

Dr. Tequilla Hill, LMFT, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and raised in Ft Lauderdale, FL. Dr. Hill is a licensed therapist in the state of Georgia and Florida. She has been working with individuals, couples, and families from various backgrounds for over a decade. Dr. Hill received her Bachelors Degree from Florida Atlantic University, Masters and Doctorate Degrees from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Hill is also a registered yoga teacher and holds advanced certifications at both the 200 & 500 levels.

Dr. Tequilla Hill, LMFT, RYT

I have always been into holistic approaches to wellness and wanted to incorporate those practices into my personal and professional life. My personal wellness pursuit led me to the beautiful practice of yoga. My personal practice consists of Ashtanga, Yin, and Restorative. Yoga has profoundly impacted my life in wonderful ways and I wanted to share that experience with others. That passion led me to obtain both my 200 & 500 level certifications. I teach a sweet, slow, and sometimes strong style of moving through poses with breath. My hope is that each pose can become an opportunity to make peace with one’s body.
