Chamber Committees

Business Development Division

The Business Development Division directs Chamber resources and focus to areas that are important to the overall retention and development of new business within our service area. Committees will provide Chamber initiatives that will encompass recruitment, retention, education and workforce development, public policies input and other key issues. The following committees will work to accomplish the Chamber’s goals:

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

Chairwoman DAWN SIPLEY Link Staffing Services

Objective: The Chamber’s Economic Development Committee focuses on expansion and retention of existing business and industry within Sanford while partnering to create new business development and approaches which support business within our community.

SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

Chairwoman CYNTHIA BLACKWELL Black Rain Partners

Objective: The committee is working to build marketing, business development, small business growth, education and other opportunities for small business.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE

Chairman GUSS RAHAL Metrovista Printing

Objective: The Education Committee is working in partnership with Seminole County Public Schools to develop a pilot program for mentoring at-risk students within Sanford schools.

Community Development Division

Quality of life in the communities we serve is important to our overall efforts to improve both business and the communities where we live. The Chamber works to highlight and promote both business and the assets of our broader community by producing large, fun events that welcomes residents, neighbors and travelers to our community.

GALA COMMITTEE

Chairwoman AMBER CLORE A Clore Interiors

Objective: This committee produces the Annual Gala for our members to celebrate Chamber efforts and recognize outgoing and incoming leaders.

TASTE OF SANFORD COMMITTEE

Chairman MICHAEL O’ BRIEN The Corner Café

Objective: The committee plans this signature event which welcomes community residents and visitors and focuses a spotlight on numerous local restaurants, entertainment and businesses.

Membership Development Division

Membership support from the business community is the life blood of any Chamber. Members within the Sanford Chamber are working to assure continued and growing support of our efforts through both recruitment and retention of business and broader community supporters.

AMBASSADOR COMMITTEE

Chairwoman LISA RODRIGUEZ We Insure Group

Objective: The committee interacts with new and existing members, provides support to staff and volunteers and works to assist with the Chamber’s retention goals.

WOMEN’S CONNECTION COMMITTEE

Chairwoman BRANDYN SEIFERTH Florida Hospital

Objective: The Women’s Committee provides inspirational connections and educational support for female members and business leaders within Sanford and the region.
