ABOUT THE POSITION

Under broad administrative direction of the City Manager, the Assistant City Manager provides direction to assigned departments, assists with budget development and administration, monitors internal controls and coordination of City programs, and is a key position on the Executive Team. The City of Weatherford’s Executive Team consists of the City Manager and two Assistant City Managers. This position assists in the development and presentation of long and short-term strategic plans to meet organizational and development needs of the City. Actual departments assigned will depend on the chosen candidate’s background and experience.
