From your perspective, how is the transition to Munis going?
“This transition is certainly no small task. The staff’s willingness to learn has helped tremendously, and I appreciate the continued patience as we work together to get acquainted with this software. Jessica Doss and Austin Nichols have been instrumental in the transition with troubleshooting and compiling reference sheets specific to each function of Munis. If there are questions or uncertainties about navigating the program, the reference sheets will help to provide direction.”
This is our first GROW Newsletter since you became the Project Sponsor and City Manager. What vision do you have for the remainder of the project timeline?
“I’m extremely pleased with the progress achieved. Going forward, I expect this momentum will continue until we reach the finish line. This group embraces challenges to achieve success. Building a strong community takes that kind of tenacity, and this project reinforces the quality of this organization.”
LOOKING BRIGHT Recently Completed Tasks:
1. Finance phase went live on January 6th!!! 2. HR/Payroll phase kicked off the week of January 13th. 3. HR/Payroll phase continued with Fundamental Review sessions on January 21 – 23 that covered the topics of HR and Talent Management, Recruiting, Employee Self-Service, ExecuTime, Payroll, and Salary and Benefit Projection. 4. The Utility Billing phase began the week of January 27. Tyler conducted a kickoff session on January 28, and Fundamental Review and System Analysis and Design sessions January 28 – 30. Topics covered included Munis UB functionality and current state/future state analysis.
Upcoming Tasks:
1. The City’s PMT and PM will continue to meet weekly for project status updates. 2. The City’s PMT, PM, and Tyler PM will continue to meet weekly for Tyler status calls. 3. Tyler will conduct SSRS Reporting training sessions February 4 – 6. 4. Tyler will conduct HR/Payroll analysis and design sessions February 11 – 13 that will cover the topics of Recruiting, HR & Talent Management, and Employee Self-Service. 5. Tyler will conduct Utility Billing current state/future state analysis and design sessions February 11 – 12. 6. Tyler will conduct HR/Payroll analysis sessions February 18 – 20 that will cover the topics of ExecuTime, Payroll, Data Conversion, ReadyForms, and Reporting.
