Get on the move Hold on. BLEND is on the move. Our Main Spring 2013 collection tells a story of the outsider lifestyle of the global traveller. He who hikes from the Mediterranean shores of North Africa and deep into the desert. He who thumbs lifts across the Americas. He is a traveller and a hard wearer. His clothing is solid and functional made of heavy fabrics. His appearance is tough and dusty, incorporating ethnic inspiration from everywhere he goes. BLEND’s Main Spring collection is a creative blend of local heritage and global casual silhouettes. It reflects the lifestyle of the traveller: Sturdy materials, heavy linen, mud washed and stained finishing, patch and repair and hand woven indigo. The weathered, sand blown surfaces look like dried, cracked soil. There are knits in space yarn. Shirts and shorts have horizontal stripes or ethnic patterns like the Asian ‘paisley’ and ‘ikat’. An astonishing effect is obtained by mixing these patterns with casual silhouettes. Tie dye finishing adds the true vintage look for shorts, shirts and t-shirts and the worn appearance of the traveller is expressed in the washed down, patched denim and the overdyed, bleached t-shirts.
Colours are dim and natural: Berry tones, sand and bone neutrals, sky and marine blue, red, dusted pastel yellow and green. BLENDs main spring collection will show your global attitude and coarse style. The clothes are designed for hard travelling. Wear them every day or spice them up for an edgy party look. Create your easy going personal style and get on the move with BLEND.
