By Adam Poulopoulos After exploring the games village, training and attending the opening ceremony, Marlborough’s athletes begun competing for real at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow overnight. Papua New Guinea squash representative Dorothy Boyce played her first-round match against Zambian Sharon Chimfwembe shortly after 10pm last night (NZ time.) A few hours later, Marlborough Sportsperson of the Year Megan Craig, New Zealand’s second-ranked women’s squash player, took to the court in her game against Safina Madhani.
