Early votes cast Story and photo by Celeste Lodewyk The first votes for the 2014 General Election were cast in Marlborough on Wednesday, as advance voting begins ahead of election day on September 20. The first voting location to open was the Kaikoura Electorate Headquarters on the corner of Grove Road and Budge Street which saw an influx of voters through the doors within the first hour. Twenty advance voting sites will be set up across Marlborough, 15 of which are mobile (in campervans) that will visit rural and the Sounds areas at specific times. Continued page 2. Voter Carol Caley casts her vote for the 2014 General Election yesterday.
