EDITORIAL Far beyond any religious ritual and aspiration, prayer is all about beseeching and pouring out our soul before the living Lord with the intention to draw near to Him.
Have you ever thought about the difference Prayer can make in your life. I was once praying with my friends and I asked one of my friends to pray however she refused and said she really didn't know how to pray. Some people find no meaning in prayer so they don't pray whereas some are confused about whom to pray and how to pray, indeed they don't pray. The Holy Bible says that our God is a prayer answering God; who does wonders, miracles and mighty things when we pray (Acts 4.29,30). Prayer is the best means to communicate with God. The supplications of a righteous man are highly esteemed and answered by God (James 5: 16). In order to have fellowship with us, God took an initiative to give us Christ as a high priest and has made us righteous in Him. Now we can approach the throne of grace and pray to Him at any time (Hebrew 4:16). God has chosen us in Christ to be fruitful. At present we know for sure that whatever we ask in the will of God to the father in the name of Jesus will be granted (John 15:16). We have an advocate on behalf of us to recommend our needs (1 John2:1). We have a mediator to mediate between God and man and that is Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 2:5). Jesus said whatever you ask in my name I will do it for you (John 14.13).
SHERIN JOHNSON Chief Editor, Kingdom Perspectives
Prayer is the most important weapon that God has given in our life to live it's fullest. Therefore, we must understand the fact that the more we seek God's face while interceding the more He opens His hands and reaches us in time of our needs. Our help comes from the Lord Jesus who is able to help us and willing to support us. Far beyond any religious ritual and aspiration, prayer is all about beseeching and pouring out our soul before the living Lord with the intention to draw near to Him. Jesus prays for us that we may be protected and sanctified as long as we are in this world (John 17). Let us pray with firm faith that God will answer us in due time. From this day forward let us be watchful and fervent in prayer. May God bless you and meet all your spiritual and physical needs in His riches in glory as you pray.

The distinctiveness of ELIJAH'S PRAYER-LIFE
in comparison to his
nature with us Evg. Blasson N. Mathew
Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. (James 5:17-18) (NKJV) he Holy Bible says Elijah was a person just like us in human nature; but distinct from us, he was a prayer warrior. Different peculiarities constituted him a prophet of supernatural lifestyle. It is interesting to observe some of such uniqueness of his life. Firstly, he understood the heart and language of God. Therefore he was able to do all the things in accordance with the intention of God. Moreover, Elijah understood the language of God hence he had gone to different places one after the other as God had directed him. Secondly, he was consecrated on his calling for ministry; therefore God was able to use him everywhere as He required. Thirdly, Elijah honored God more than men of higher positions therefore he was able to stand before Ahab, the king of Israel without fear. Accordingly, God approved what he asked to Him in prayer and he had got instrumental in the mighty hand of God.
17.1-10). Firstly, God had chosen the natural resources to provide for Elijah in Cherith. Elijah was obedient to God and hid himself as he had got great faith to believe that God was able to protect and provide for him in the said area. Similarly, Elijah was willing to humble himself to eat what the ravens had served him. Only a person who understands the plans of God can cooperate with God and obey Him in everything. During the drought, Elijah neither lived according to the system of the world nor of the facilities of the human kind. Above all he believed in God's ability to direct nature and its resources for his favor. When God shows favor to anybody they will have favor from everywhere and everybody. Spiritual transformation due to prayer-life is the main focus of Apostle James when he says Elijah was a man like us but different from us when he prayed; God closed the heaven in favor of him and when he prayed again supernaturally it opened for rain and blessed the land. We are called to change the face of the globe by being active Christians who become instrumental in

demonstrating God's care for the needy and God's mighty deeds to establish the word of God in this era. Let us examine ourselves whether we are available in the prayer room to see God and understand His heart. A supernatural realm fashioned by a prayer-life in his life is what led Elijah at his generation to succeed in the mission to reverse the nation Israel into godliness during the reign of a wicked king who brought the entire kingdom into sin and poverty (1Kings 16: 30-33). Beyond the nominal lifestyle Elijah was a model in the hands of God to establish the power and authority of the Almighty God in the earth during his life. Sometimes faith works with forbearance. That was true in the life of Elijah; Cherith was a temporary shelter for Elijah. Correspondingly, failure, scarcity and many such realities in life challenge us to give up in life. Since, God determines the final destiny of our life do not give up. Believe that failures are not final. God can take us from every situations that seems to be bad into His good destiny; in spite of the fact that God's means of elevation may be different from our perspectives. Hence, it is necessary to know the heart of God. We are called to move forward in life from every failure since the Lord who has called us is faithful; He never leaves us nor forsakes us (Heb 13.5). God's word came to Elijah during the drought due to famine. God directed his servant to a next area of provision as he was available at the feet of God in prayer. The word of the Lord is what we need when things go out of control. God is not always silent He is a good God who speaks to His children especially when situations become worse (Psalm 9:9, Isaiah 41: 10). God is present in our happiest occasions yet He will be closer in time of our troubles. Bible says 'God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble' (Psalm 46:1-3). Moreover, God's word is always right and it can rightly guide us. Our God is perfect in all His ways (Psalm 18.30). While the provision of Cherith got dried up; Elijah experienced the intensity of the draught and famine which he himself prophesied over the country. Subsequently, it became God's responsibility to protect Elijah. If we are guided by God, even if dryness falls in such God's destined areas surely God's word will come forth to guide us. In addition, God had chosen a scarcity ridden poor widow's house in Zarephath

to provide Elijah. God can choose anyone to perform His mighty deeds and once God intervenes in anybody' life, chaos will transform into the most glorious realm. God did a sample of rain of blessings in the widow's house before it rained in the entire country. God could have fed the widow after rain but God was concerned about her who was desperately in need of God. Are you desperately seeking God for any of your immediate needs then for sure He will become more real and will solve every issue.
through his anointing. To Israel it is said that “if you obey the commandment of Lord your God … The Lord will command the blessings upon you…” (Deuteronomy 28.8). In addition, the New Testament church is blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). The spiritual blessing releases the physical blessings. However, when we realize the fact that we are called to be a blessing for many lives; we may need to use the key of anointing to release the blessings for many lives. Surprisingly, when such people are blessed, they will be useful for the kingdom of God reciprocally. God can make any chaos in to an area of possibilities. If you are a child of God; God has commanded His blessings over your life that you may be fruitful and thereby useful for many lives. Whatever answer we receive in the prayer room is what we are going to receive in the physical realm. Let us give priority for spiritual blessings so that we may be physically blessed and useful in the kingdom of God.
When God asked him to go to Zarephath and told him that he had commanded a widow to feed him, Elijah without any doubt believed in the word of the Lord and went to the said area. Even though he reached the place, it seems that God didn't inform the widow about Elijah's coming to her home. Indeed she was saying that 'we are going to die after eating what we have' (1kings 17:12). The widow's situation was not so good to perform a miracle; however Elijah was ready to obey God and instrumental for such a miracle as he understood the language of God. In addition, Elijah realized what God meant when He said I have commanded a widow to feed you (1kings 17:9) (KJV). 'Commanded' doesn't mean mere information. God had commanded her about Elijah means, God had chosen her as a vessel of honor for supernatural miracles. Elijah had to release the widow's blessings

While being in the house of provision, Elijah prayed again for the provisions of the nation and God sent rain and prospered the country. Elijah waited patiently for God's season of rain. Steps of faith are needed for Christian life but sometimes what God expects from us is the patience for the intended purposes. There is a time for God to do everything. 6
When God does something in His season it becomes more glorious. The Bible says 'Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, that in due time he may exalt you’ (1 Peter 5:6).
neighborhood and country. It is our sins and wicked ways that restrict the blessings of the Lord. Many psalms of David were prayers for forgiveness from God. He prays in a ways that he may be cleansed from all the filths, as a result he was useful in the righteous hand of God. Some of such prayers are good models for prayer warriors. Once he prayed that “have mercy on me, O God, according to thy steadfast love; according to thy abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin! For I know my sins… against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done that which is evil in thy sight...” When we cleanse ourselves in prayer, God washes us from all our sins and refresh our spirit and fills our hearts with joy and gladness (Psalm 51: 1-12). A praying person cleanses himself from sin and a person indulging in sin seldom pray. God is looking for Elijahs of this generation who pray earnestly and become a useful vessel in the mighty hand of God. Jesus was a good model of prayer whatever he prayed, the father answered due to the fact that He had favor from the father beforehand. May God bless you and find favor when you pray.
God is a prayer answering God who works on behalf of his faithful servants who dedicate themselves in prayer. When Elijah prayed, God shut the heaven from raining and when he prayed again; God opened the heaven and brought forth fruitfulness. While being natural people; if we pray we can serve God supernaturally. Even today God uses such men and women of God to execute God's plans in the earth. If you are saying I am not seeing any supernatural; it means you seldom pray. God is seeking for prayer warriors at this era to reveal Himself through the supernatural. God through a season of both famine and rain taught a big lesson to the wicked king Ahab and the nation Israel. When the king brought the country in to wickedness God judged them with crisis however God in His longsuffering heard the prayer of Elijah and gave them rain and fruitfulness. God hears the prayer of the righteous (James 5:16). As we pray God will stretch forth His hand and save our

Alive in CHRIST Sis. GLORY SURESH Through that incident God enabled me to realize and enjoy the pure love, affection and grace of God - the Almighty. Then I never stop reading the Bible.
My name is Glory Suresh, hailing from a middle class non-Christian family. I believed in no other God except the one I believed. During my school days many men of God had given me Christian pamphlets, which I used to read and immediately burn due to my belief that everything else other than my belief is false. At the age of 19, I married a Hindu whose sister was a Christian. Even though my husband was a Hindu, I used to follow my own religion, its teachings and prayers. My husband's sister was so concerned about our family-life though she shared the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with me but my belief was unshakable.
chastisement of our peace is upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). Moreover, I noted in the book I read that “if you pray with faith you will be healed.” As my pain was not reducing, I made a decision that if my pain subsides by receiving the word then I will believe in the Bible as the word of God. By faith I start uttering the word of God suddenly a wind blew upon me and I was completely healed and it was beyond my understanding. Though I was healed, I still had lot of doubts and couldn't believe wholly in Jesus Christ. The next day, my husband's niece gave me a copy of the New Testament and asked me to go through it. I was not willing to receive it and was angry with everyone in the house. However, by my husband's initiative I started to read the Bible for a while. Though, initially, it was difficult for me to read and I felt very weak in my body that my reading was not proper and loud enough. I thought to stop reading. When I thought stop reading immediately an extra supernatural power came on me and unknowingly I was reading aloud. Moreover, I fell down and was slain, while being in that state and seen a vision. In the vision I have seen myself in a pure white clouds ascending with a golden throne at the centre. Surrounding the throne I heard the voice “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus” aloud. From it's midst I heard a voice that saying to me that: “I am the God that you are seeking.” Afterwards, I sense in my tongue that I started to murmur the name “Jesus, Jesus.” Through that incident God enabled me to realize and enjoy the pure love, affection and grace of God - the Almighty. Then I never stop reading the Bible. Eph 2:8, 9 says “For by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.” Followed by this confrontation with God, I accepted Jesus as my personal savior and then I began to go to church along with my sister in law. Moreover, God enabled me to be filled by His
In 2010 May, I happened to watch a Christian video comprising of miraculous healing happened in the name of Jesus in a Nigerian Church. Although it was a reliable miracle; I was unable to understand the healing as it happened in the name of Jesus who according to me was not God. Simultaneously, I asked myself why no miracles were happening in my life even though I am praying for many years, whereas miraculous deeds were happening in the name of Jesus for many lives. Henceforth, watching the video I was quite enthusiastic to know more about Jesus and to find the truth. I was so keen for seeking the truth that I was sleepless until finding it. Bible in Proverbs 8:17, says that “...those who seek me diligently find me.” I was Once fasting and praying for three days and on the third day of my prayer, I read a book “The Key of Miracles” by evangelist Dr. P. G. Vargis in which I read about many amazing testimonies of healing and miracles done in the name of Jesus. At that time, I was five months pregnant and carrying my first child. As I was reading the testimonies from that book; quickly a severe pain developed in my stomach which later got worse. Immediately, I remembered a verse from the Bible that says, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the

Spirit. On 6th Feb 2016, I took water Baptism. However, we faced a lot of struggles from both of our family members. However, God renewed us with His word that “blessed are those who are persecuted for God's sake” (Mathew 5:10 ). Moreover, the Holy Spirit enabled me to pray in tongues. Jesus has taken away many severe problems and sickness from my husband's family. At present I started to share the joy and peace of God that I received through Christ to many lives.
traveled a lot in public transportation. At present, God has blessed us with different vehicles for our traveling needs. God is so gracious to me and I receive many visions, dreams and revelations each day. Moreover, God has helped me to interpret such dreams. After a while God had enabled me to fast and pray for twenty one days. God has transformed my life and changed my name. I heard the voice of God telling me that, “until my last breath, God’s glory will be with me.” At the same moment, with the guidance of Holy Spirit a man of God prophesied over me that “the past has gone, and now God is clothing you with His new glory.” From that day, I have been known by the name 'Glory Suresh.'
After 2014, I and my husband with our two kids settled in Bangalore and we have been attending the fellowship in 'Blessings AG Church, Bangalore. By God’s grace after eight years of prayers everyone in our family came to the saving knowledge of Christ including my husband's parents, his other siblings and my brother. Due to many long journeys I had developed a severe back pain and later I came to know that my disc had got prolapsed. We started to pray to the Lord Jesus Christ and believed that Jesus can heal me from issue of disc. However, on one fine Sunday, during the worship service in our Church, God has touched my disc and healed me. I started seeing many miracles in our life as never before. God has enabled my husband to start a business in Bangalore. We have received many financial blessings from our scarcity ridden family background. There was a time we

God has strengthened us as a family to share this gospel of eternal life to many lives and the Lord is leading us in many miraculous ways. Today I declare that “salvation is found in no other name under heaven and in the earth than the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.” In Jesus there are no questions without answers. If you have not yet received Jesus as your personal savior, right now without any doubt give yourself to the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 10:9). He is very gracious and merciful. You will experience his faithfulness every day of your life. May the mercy and grace of God follow you all through your life (Psalm 23:6). May God bless you.

Be Unto the Feet of
JESUS Blessy Blasson “… A woman in the city…brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil…she began to wash His (Jesus') feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head: and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil…Therefore I say to you, her sins which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much but to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.” (Luke 7:37-47).

n this world of exhausting routine, all are busy with their own schedules. Most of us even forget to spare some time in prayer. Prayer is the fellowship with the Holy God, without which it is difficult to communicate with God and receive anything from God. I would like to bring your attention towards a lady from the Holy Bible, who bound by sin received forgiveness and mercy of God (Luke 7:37-39). The lady came to Jesus, knowing about Jesus with very expensive oil inside an alabaster flask. When the people around them questioned her; Jesus said to them that “the one who received much forgiveness loves Him much and vice versa.” It is interesting to watch the incident from a divine perspective. We can observe many good lessons from her intentions in doing such an amazing conduct to our Lord Jesus Christ. I am going to deal with few of her intentions that help us to progress in our spiritual life. This incident in the Bible opens our eyes for a self

estimation of our love for God. Firstly, she crossed every religious barriers and laws of the society to meet Jesus and deliberately poured the most precious oil at the feet of Jesus. Beyond her social and cultural restrictions, she was ready to wash His sinless feet with her tears and wipe it with her precious hairs believing that Jesus' love is sincere and forgiving. She was ready to lose her whole one year income to buy such expensive oil for Jesus by valuing Jesus as the most precious person she could find in her life. She understood how valuable it is to love Jesus by breaking the bottle and by pouring the precious oil at the feet of Jesus. Secondly, we can observe that the oil is very costly in comparison to the jar it carried. The lady was looking for an opportunity to make a contact with Jesus by breaking the jar. When it is broken the aroma spread over the place where they were seated and everyone 12
understood the purpose and the value of the oil. She determined in her heart that if there is anybody who must be honored in such a way, it must be none other than Jesus. Now there are no barriers between the jar and the oil as well as Jesus and the lady. As a result we can observe that the oil became a means for the lady to be blessed and she reaches in a higher level of spiritual life. When we change our nominal associations into spiritual affiliations, we are reaching different heights in our spiritual life and thereby into God's perfect plans for our life. Even if it cost a lot to make such an association however it is going to profit in life with higher revelations that prompt for a modest life-style.
life, though the public may not really realize it. However, when God complete His formations in our life for sure he will bring us in to the public. If we are patient enough and keen to know the will of God secretly in the prayer room; God will appoint a meaningful time for us in public for His glory. Jesus appreciates the lady in public for what she did privately to Him in the house of a Pharisee. Jesus has highly esteemed her work and said “she did it for my burial.” However, she did it without knowing what she was doing and her act which came out of pure intentions became a blessed act for the glorification of the son of God. It seems to me that she was collecting the money for about a whole year and bought that very expensive oil without knowing that it is going to be used as a memory of Jesus' burial. The lady was questioned by all except Jesus. God honored her because of her intentions oriented by the love of God. Hence, even now she was appreciated by the whole world. Our God is a lovely God who appreciates everyone who serves Him faithfully out of the little. The moment God recognizes us we cannot be hidden
All these blessings were made possible by her good intentions behind her action. She bought the precious oil for Jesus and was ready to break it. Similarly, we must be ready to break our ego, negative characters and every confusion and doubts that limit the joy in our life from its most potential. Let us pull down every superfluous desires of our flesh so that we can have a constant relationship with the Holy Spirit. There may be many things in this world to distract us from God; but our main focus should always be to establish a good relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible says the Holy Spirit is given to us in our earthen vessels, which is our body of flesh (2 Corinthians 4:7). If we allow the Holy Spirit to break all the hindrances of the flesh; then the Sprit of Christ will help us and refresh our spirit to dominate the fleshly body. The Bible says “…we are debtors not to the flesh to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many are led by the Spirit of God these are sons of God” (Romans 8.12-14). At present, many individuals are not realizing the fact that the devil is using every means to lead humanity into severe sickness, sin and crisis. Only those who have developed a constant pure fellowship with the Holy Spirit by their prayer life are able to defeat the enemy and his schemes.
Jesus has highly esteemed her work and said “she did it for my burial.” However, she did it without knowing what she was doing and her act which came out of pure intentions became a blessed act for the glorification of the son of God.
anymore, instead we need to come in the forefront and shine for Him. Jesus never left the lady without acknowledging the fact that her large number of sins are forgiven. Moreover, Jesus is revealing to her that what she did to Him was done for His burial. Those who take real risk in life for the Lord without any reservations, God reveals His intentions in their life and more revelations about Him.
Thirdly, if we calculate the efforts for gaining such precious oil, we will come across the fact that she paid a great price to acquire it. The value of the oil was less than three hundred denarii which is equivalent to a year's salary or the hardship of a year. Nobody might have seen her struggles for buying this very precious oil. Similarly often we are not recognized for our efforts in our family and society. However, when we are ready to spend our most valuable efforts, time and money for godly needs God will not leave us until we are blessed and honored. We are required to earnestly pray for the perishing souls. Even if no one recognizes us, all our efforts for the Lord are not vain. One or the other day we are going to come out as the most powerful personalities by our prayer life. The more time we spend in prayer, the most anointed we become. There is a period of preparation in everyone's
Kingdom Perspectives | July - August 2019
Many people including Jesus' disciples were asking in their heart that why is the waste of oil (Mark 14:4,5). Jesus by understanding their inner thoughts, told them “Leave her alone, why trouble her? She hath wrought a good work in me” (Mark 14:6). Jesus could see her inner thoughts and feelings far beyond her actions. The peculiarity of our Lord Jesus Christ is that He understands and has concern about our feelings and emotions. When the devil reminds us about what we don't have, Jesus will inspire us to know who we are in Christ. We may be frequently facing number of questions in life. Many may ask: have you brought so many curses on you that you are facing several trials 13
one after the other. This issue becomes worse when these questions were asked by our dear ones and close friends who are supposed to be a source of comfort. However, in all such trials do not be worried because our Lord has faced number of such questions and became a conqueror beforehand. These are the questions said without expectation of any answers. Hence, let us be silent and wait for the Lord to answer and take care of the situation. When people analyze us from peripheral outfits God assert us from the inside and He evaluates our thoughts and hearts. Let us make sure we have got the right motives and intentions behind everything we do. God's perspectives about human beings are peculiar in all its aspects. The lady had a pure intention in everything she did to Jesus therefore He has no reservation to forgive her. The precious oil was just a means to contact Jesus by which she loved and honored Jesus, subsequently Jesus appreciate her faith in front of all. We all have our own familial, traditional, socio-cultural and religious borders that restrict us from contacting God boundlessly. Even then God loves us beyond our modern day boundaries, unfaithful and wicked ways. This incident explicitly explore the fact that God loves us and ready to cover our sins. The lady found safe at the side of Jesus even when everyone was blaming her. If you haven't yet realize the real love of God in your life, understand the fact that there is a living God who covers our sins and loves us when we ask for pardon.
The patterns of our present socio-religious laws and its restrictions shall anymore confine us from meeting our dear Lord Jesus Christ. When the lady was uproar she was willing to take every opportunity to contact Jesus. Likewise let us go to God the creator instead of finding other ways for peace. Real peace found no where expect at the feet of Jesus. Jesus says “…my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let them be afraid” (John 14:27). Let us meet Jesus to meet eternal life. Jesus says “…I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the father, but by me” (John 14:6). Does anybody died as atonement for your salvation? There is no one except Jesus, who is admired by every generation as a pure man died as expiation for the sins of the world. Just like this lady received newness of life and lived the rest of her life as a new creation forgiven by the Lord; do not live any more in sin and it's after effects. Similarly, she paid a great price to acquire the precious oil however God honored her faith for what she paid. Do not hesitate to pay a price for what is worth paying. A blessed life is still possible if we do not give up. Be constructive in the kingdom of God. These are the days when the Holy Spirit is looking for such men and women of God who become fragrant for His kingdom by impacting the world and transforming many lives with their good deeds. May God bless you.
