I am Dieter Hofmann, founder and managing director of blickfang international design fair and the blickfang design shop. Together with my team of 20 colleagues, we’ve been organising blickfang for almost 30 years now. Blickfang is a sales fair where independent design labels meet consumers with an affinity for design. Our Head of Sales and Talent-Scout Katja Famulok is seeking nationally and internationally for independent designers like you!
It’s your products that drive us! We are the proud owners of plenty of blickfang finds ourselves – and we love every one of them! Besides giving character to our wardrobes and living rooms, they influence our whole lifestyle! In traditional retail, it’s far too common to find yourself confronted with the same brands over and over again – which is why we’ve made it our goal to give you designer makers and boutique manufacturers a platform. Blickfang is the antithesis of high street labels: it offers your future customers design that has nothing in common with the mass market and mass production.

DIETER HOFMANN Our standards are high. While design fairs aimed at consumers are popping up like mushrooms wherever you look, they don’t always live up to what they promise. Sadly, they often simply equate design with handmade and the quality of the design on show is irrelevant. Blickfang is different: an international panel of experts makes sure that hobbyists are ruled out right from the start. Blickfang is a showcase for independent professionals, not amateurs.

These days blickfang attracts over 80,000 design enthusiasts, dealers and manufacturers every year. We present more than 1,000 design labels from all over the world – currently at no fewer than six events. FOR NEWCOMERS Designers who run their label less than 3 years, have the great opportunity to apply for a Newcomer rate. In the first year of participation, Newcomers can apply for a reduction of 30 % on the stand rental fee, 15 % in the second year at each blickfang venue. (Power connections, partition walls & promotional package are not included in this reduction.)

The application needs to be done online. Please apply for the blickfang event you wish to exhibit at through this link:

Information and photos of at least 3 products are required. As the available exhibition space is limited, please apply first for a desired participation. The decision on participation at the respective blickfang location is the responsibility of an expert jury. Your participation will be confirmed within 2-3 weeks after the respective application deadline.

MAKI N G FAI R S TOG ETH E R I N COVI D -19 TI M E S We would like to enable you to plan your participation at blickfang design fairs in a flexible and worry-free manner. Therefore, we will continue to offer you our special booking and payment options for your application for all blickfang events in 2021. 1. Up to 8 weeks before the respective blickfang you can cancel or rebook almost free of charge (except for the handling fee). 2. Later than 8 weeks prior to the respective blickfang, our general terms and conditions and the right of withdrawal with corresponding cancellation costs are valid. 3. Relaxed payment conditions: Initially, you will only pay 25% of the total amount of your blickfang participation within 20 days after jury acceptance and invoicing, the remaining 75% will be due 20 days before the booked event. There is no right to reimbursement for: • travel warnings based on tourist activities, but allowing entry and exit for business reasons • Illnesses of any kind • Personal motives
You are entitled to a refund or crediting of your deposit to a next blickfang within the next 12 months if • Entry and exit restrictions (e.g. quarantine obligations) apply, which have been expressly imposed by the state governments also for business trips. • Officially declared cancellation of the blickfang you have booked
AN O P E N WO R D TO YO U In the last 8 weeks before each blickfang, our teams are working at full speed to make blickfang as successful as possible for you as an exhibitor. In concrete terms, that means: from this point on a considerable part of our expenses for the success of the blickfang are invested, such as the production of advertising material (flyers, posters, advertisements, visitor catalogue, invitation mailings etc.), PR activities and other production costs for the fair on location.
