Premier Club I
n December of 2002, D.L. Evans Bank ‘kicked off’ what would prove to be a very successful customer relationship enhancement tool, the Premier Club.
Making dreams a reality! That’s the mission of D. L. Evans Bank Premier Club. Whether the dream is a 21 day tour of China and Tibet, a cruise/tour of Valerie Kelsey Premier Club Director Alaska, dinner with friends on a river cruise, a special surprise for a 62nd wedding anniversary or simply someone to share an afternoon movie, we try to fill the needs of our over 2900 club members. The Club offers something for everyone. Membership provides financial benefits as well as travel and social activities all planned and hosted by D. L. Evans Bank. The Premier Club hosts between 10-12 social events each year. These events include free movie days at the local theatres, educational seminars, computer and digital photography classes; Chili Cook-off Contest, Santa Claus and Cookies, Consumer Protection and Fraud Protection Seminar, Senior Games Competition, Potluck in the Park, etc. The Club also
Our extended travel is not just about spending quality time with our top customers (it is a big part-but not all) it is about generating excitement within our service areas about a program that no other bank in Idaho has–something that truly sets us apart! We have many repeat travelers but we also have new travelers on each trip. Premier Club travel has proven to be one of the most successful methods of new customer/club member referrals. Tours are promoted 12 to 18 months in advance but are talked about and shared for years following the trip! Another of the many benefits offered to our Premier Club members is the Merchant Discount Program. This program enables Premier Club members to receive discounts on goods and services from participating merchants throughout the state by simply presenting their Premier Club membership card. This is a wonderful benefit for our club members and a great marketing tool for our current business customers and for potential business customers. A complete list of participating merchants is available on: www.dlevans.com/personal/premier-club/activities The Premier Club also actively participates in community and charity events. Club members donate canned food items each year at movies and social events hosted by the Premier Club and then the items are donated to the local Christmas Council and food banks. Supporting our communities has always been a key component of D. L. Evans Bank and has been continued with the Premier Club.
escorts and promotes day and overnight tours in Idaho and surrounding states. Each year, the Club members get to enjoy several different tours, naming just a few; Winter Retreat to Bogus Basin, Step Back in Time Tour, Hells Canyon Tour, Les Miserables, Oakley Valley Play and Dinner on the Snake River Queen, Thousand Springs Lunch Cruise, etc.
When a bank offers more than just banking products and services, then it’s time to take notice. The D. L. Evans Bank Premier Club is a perfect example of just how a bank can be involved with people in more that just a banking relationship by offering travel opportunities and a membership to a club that can really change people’s lives.
The travel portion of the Premier Club has proven to be a very significant business development tool. Our Premier Club members love to travel in groups. They enjoy the comradery, the security of an escorted tour, the freedom and convenience of not having to drive, and the prestige of traveling with a bank sponsored tour.
We would like to thank Valerie Kelsey, D. L. Evans Bank Premier Club Director, Jessica Bristol, Premier Club Assistant, Tina Harmon, previous Premier Club Assistant, and the Premier Club area coordinators: Amy Kesner (Treasure Valley), Joy Storer (Idaho Falls), Chris Evans (Pocatello) and Kelli Young (Wood River), for the outstanding job they have done with our Premier Club. A thank you also to our Premier Club members and Valerie Kelsey, Premier Club Director, for these beautiful pictures that were taken when traveling the world with the Premier Club.
Travel shows are very successful events in promoting extended and exotic tours, including domestic and international. Travel shows have been fun and educational club events all by themselves. Door prizes, refreshments and interactive presentations encourage attendance at the travel shows. The extended and exotic trips, such as Europe, Australia, New Zealand, China, Peru, Alaska and Hawaii lend a high degree of prestige to the overall club program.
WE HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS YEAR’S SPECIAL PREMIER CLUB EDITION CALENDAR, FEATURING PHOTOS TAKEN ALL OVER THE WORLD DURING PREMIER CLUB TRAVELS! If you are interested in joining the Premier Club, visit www.dlevans.com, e-mail us at premierclub@dlevans.com, stop by any of our branches, or call Valerie Kelsey at 208-678-8615.

Spuddy Buddy “Spuddy Buddy” has been the Premier Club’s unofficial traveling mascot for several years and has traveled extensively throughout the United States and around the world. He has traveled to exotic destinations such as the Panama Canal, Peru, China and Tibet, representing Idaho and the Premier Club. “Spuddy Buddy” has cruised the Rhine River, the inside passage of Alaska and the Baltic Sea. At the end of the year, photos of “Spuddy Buddy” are sent to a representative on the Idaho Potato Commission sharing our adventures together and our joint representation of Idaho and our Famous Potatoes. The Idaho Potato Commission has generously donated “Spuddy Buddy” coloring books for club members to give to children during school and home visits in countries such as Tibet and Peru. “Spuddy Buddy” is definitely a conversation starter and a great way to share information about our state even with a language barrier! “Spuddy Buddy” is used with the permission of the Idaho Potato Commission.
