“There isn’t a day that goes by when the Institute doesn’t get a call or an email from a member of the public asking ‘how do I find an architect?’” Dominique Kelaher, Finance and Administration Officer at the NSW Chapter.

ANNUAL REPORT The Annual report was designed as a clean document that is easy to read. Use of colour to engage readers with a combination of imagery and infographics to break up the heavy text document. The Australian Institute of Architects is a national body consisting of almost 10,000 members across Australia and overseas. By promoting better, responsible and environmental design, the Institute actively lobbies to maintain and improve the quality of our built environment. A design for the 2014/2015 annual report was to be developed. The design was to encompass the company’s values and environmental strategies.

MAGAZINE LAYOUT The layout reflected the life of journal articles, little alleyways, side streets and pockets of imagery that you would expect in street art. The grid format provides a cluster of imagery that plays with the viewers eye to lead them through the page from image to image. Whether you’re suffering from a case of designer’s block or simply want to keep up to date with the latest trends and happenings in creative culture, No Cure provides a prescription-only dose of inspiration with each issue. The client No Cure is an Australian indie art and culture magazine published four times a year focusing on street art, design, music and pop culture; a cutting-edge look-book of inspiration joining the dots between editorial and powerful imagery. They are looking for a new two double page spread layout style for No Cure Magazine. Using the article on Laneways Life: Exploring Melbourne’s Street Art Scene.

BUS WRAP Leaving your mark in history was the concept for this bus wrap. Utilizing the famous sole print of the Volley shoe as the main focus. Dunlop Volley wish to re-launch their range of footwear by creating an advertising campaign to feature on the bus network. They are looking at an illustrative based design that features their original footwear. Dunlop Volleys are looking for a design based on the Propaganda Style and the artwork can be inspired from any of the time periods prior to the 1970s.

T-SHIRT DESIGN ‘make your connection’ was created with making connections in everyday life, be it networking, or having a breakthrough on a project that you have been working on for a long time, when you make your connection everything just works, a light bulb moment. The clients belief was to create high quality, hand illustrated typography T-shirt design that was technically proficient, innovative and culturally relevant products in order to clearly connect with their target market.

PHOTOSHOP MANIPULATION The focus of this ad on the Frisbee, showing strength and durability, strong enough to handle anything. The image creates movement of the Frisbee in this still shot. Create high-end artwork for the SBE Frisbee company to use with future advertising. The client wants the design to be modern and dynamic. The image should also give the product a sense of movement. “We want to create a single stunning image that defies the use of common space and physics as we know it.
