11. Build your team up
Schools are often very good at celebrating the achievements of their pupils but less so the successes of their staff . Try a celebration pre-school staff briefi ng on a Friday morning. It will be a feel-good ten to 15 minutes that lets everyone celebrate everything good that has happened that week and allows people to go into the weekend on a positive note. It helps to build a school-wide culture of celebrating eff ort and achievement. Moreover, it will build the confi dence of your team and your confi dence in them. The greater the confi dence you have in the team around you and in their support for you, the higher your levels of selfconfi dence are likely to be.
12. Break things down into smaller goals
Try not to get overwhelmed by big projects.
