Time to reflect Be honest with yourself… ●

Do you sometimes go for the low-impact, quick-win items on your ‘todo’ list first?

Are there any higher-impact items that you are putting off?

If so, why do you think that is?

11. Build your team up Schools are often very good at celebrating the achievements of their pupils but less so the successes of their staff. Try a celebration pre-school staff briefing on a Friday morning. It will be a feel-good ten to 15 minutes that lets everyone celebrate everything good that has happened that week and allows people to go into the weekend on a positive note. It helps to build a school-wide culture of celebrating effort and achievement. Moreover, it will build the confidence of your team and your confidence in them. The greater the confidence you have in the team around you and in their support for you, the higher your levels of selfconfidence are likely to be.

Try not to get overwhelmed by big projects.

Confidence vs humility

12. Break things down into smaller goals
