Fizzy reached into a drawer in her bedside cabinet where she found a slightly furry red jelly baby. “Yummy,” she said, biting off the head and having a good chew. Then she opened a book. It was full of baby animals – kittens and chicks and best of all, puppies. “If I had a dog I wouldn’t be so bored all the time,” Fizzy thought to herself. But Mum had told her countless times that it was impossible. Who would feed it and walk it and clear up its stinky mess? They couldn’t have one. No.

Chapter Three

“Good morning!” Manju opened her eyes. A genie smiled at her. “Hello,” said Manju. “I’ve seven wishes to spare,” said the genie. “Want them?” “Yes please,” said Manju. She was only expecting three. Getting seven wishes was spectacular.
