Girls enjoy lessons in all the subjects you would expect of a preparatory school – English, Mathematics, Science, French, the Humanities, Art, Design, Music and Physical Education – and some you might not, for example Philosophy, Coding and Mandarin, with many of the lessons led by subject specialists. The curriculum is enhanced with a programme of trips and educational visits, taking advantage of London’s world-class museums, galleries and concert halls.

Creativity
The Falcons School for Girls defines creativity as
t e pr0cess 0f having 0riginal ideas t at ave value. Our teaching is inspired by the words of Sir Ken Robinson:
‘Creativity is the ability to see lots of possible answers to a question, lots of possible ways to interpret a question, to think laterally, to think not just in linear or convergent ways, to see multiple answers, not one.’ (Sir Ken Robinson)

The school community is divided into four ‘houses’ – Austen, Curie, Seacole and Nightingale - with each student allocated to a house. The Houses provide a focus for intra-school activities, including competitions and sport. Girls earn house points for effort, achievement and upholding the Falcons Rules, with the winning house announced at the weekly Celebration Assembly.

0ur New 0me Our new home in Putney provides the girls with outstanding facilities. It is made up of four separate freehold buildings, at numbers 7, 11, 22 and 24 Woodborough Road, Putney. The four buildings are Edwardian houses situated within a leafy conservation area. We enjoy an optimal learning environment: specialist facilities for science, music, art, drama and dance; state-of-the-art touchscreens in every classroom, and a laptop or an iPad for every pupil. Each of the buildings has its own generous outside playground. There is also direct gated access to Putney Park from 22 Woodborough Road. We use the Bank of England Playing Fields, Roehampton, for sport and games.
