SIRE NICKS REPORT for DUNDEEL and SPIRIT OF BOOM
SIRE NICK REPORT for DUNDEEL (NZ) 2009 Bay Stallion, by High Chaparral (Sadler's Wells) - Stareel, by Zabeel Performance of his progeny summarised by their Maternal Grandsire • Crosses highlighted in red have a higher than average SW/Rnr percentage
Dundeel is the sire of 24 SW to date with two being out of mares by Jeune (Grey Sovereign line) , two out of mares by Cape Cross (Green Desert/Danzig line) and the balance spread around several leading commercial broodmare sirelines, particularly the Danehill/Danzig line. He has 100% and 50% strike rates with mares by several leading broodmare sires and although these are often the outcomes from just one or two runners they are promising trails to follow. A good sire crossed with a good broodmare sire, resulting in a SW, way to go. Interestingly Dundeel doesn’t mind returns of his own Sadler’s Wells sireline What this report doesn’t show is Dundeel’s impressive rate of elite horse production. His seven individual Gr1 winners represent 29.16% of his SW, where the commercial average is 12.5% and anything over 15% is outstanding. And that’s not taking into account the Gr1 class filly Hope In Your Heart.

Three of his Gr1 winners are out of Danehill/Danzig line mares, Sadler’s Wells and Dubawi also feature.
Dundeel is by a son of Sadler’s Wells out of a Zabeel mare so his SW production at this relatively early stage is impressive and the development of his nicking stats will be worth watching closely.

SIRE NICK REPORT for SPIRIT OF BOOM (AUS) 2007 Bay Stallion, by Sequalo (Rustic Amber) - Temple Spirit, by Special Dane Performance of his progeny summarised by their Sire • Crosses highlighted in red have a higher than average SW/Rnr percentage
Spirit Of Boom is the sire of 21 SW to date with his biggest and best crops on the way through. He has two SW each and very high percentages out of mares by the leading broodmare sires Encosta De Lago and Exceed And Excel and the underrated Conatus a son of Danehill. Although the data sets are small, his strike rates with Danehill line mares specifically and Northern Dancer line mares generally are among his best.
Spirit Of Boom’s Gr1 winning son Jonker is out of a mare by Danehill’s son Kempinsky, while his crack Gr2 sprinter (possible Gr1 winner in waiting) Prince Of Boom has returns of both Danehill and Semipalatinsk being inbred 4 x 4 to both those stallions.
This leads to two further points of interest regarding Spirit Of Boom.
Firstly he has an outstanding strike rate of 10% SW/R with returns of
Maternal Grandsire Nmd Rnrs Wnrs Wins G1 GW the former Eureka stallion Semipalatinsk. Secondly his 4.36% SW/R with a return of Danehill in the mare is marginally above his overall SW/R rate of 4.27% making him one of the rare stallions out of a Danehill line mare who thrives with a return of Danehill ANALYSIS, by Andrew
