Upper Mississippi Academy (UMA) Pre-Operational Grant Support In an effort to support the pre-operational development of UMA including professional development, development of the Learning Program, student/family recruiting, communication strategy, infrastructure, board development, etc. we secured two substantive grants - $400K - to support the work: Federal Charter School Planning Grant, $150K (maximum) No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, Title V, Part B, Subpart I, Charter Schools Programs CFDA 84.282A Walton Family Foundation, $250K (maximum) Public Charter Startup Grant
