2023 ANNUAL

I M PA C T R E P O RT

LETTERS FROM LEADERSHIP The mission of the Blue Federal Credit Union Foundation is to support our members and their communities by funding and providing financial education programs. Our aim is to foster financial independence and economic strength in these communities. In the last year, thanks to your contributions, the Blue Foundation allocated over $165,000 to various organizations within the communities we serve, in addition to awarding $12,000 in college scholarships. We provide grants that benefit 501(c)(3) organizations and support charitable events in areas where Blue Federal Credit Union operates. Being an independent 501(c)(3) entity, the Blue Foundation is in a prime position to support numerous esteemed local charities, causes, and individuals in their endeavors to make a positive impact. If your organization, or if you know a college student in need of support, a simple grant request form is available under the ‘Requests’ tab on our website at bluefoundation.blue. Here, you will also find all the necessary information regarding eligibility and application details. You can become a lifetime member of the Blue Foundation for as little as a $5 contribution, either online at bluefoundation. blue or at any Blue FCU branch. Contributions to the Blue Foundation are generously matched by Blue Federal Credit Union up to 80 percent. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who continues to support us through donations, volunteering, and various other forms of assistance. We eagerly anticipate witnessing the positive impact of your efforts again this year.

JIM WOOD Blue Foundation President

2023 Approved Grants The Foundation received 19 grant requests from organizations in Wyoming and Colorado totaling $217,500. The Foundation awarded 9 grants totaling $165,000 that align with our mission.

I am absolutely thrilled and deeply honored to step into the role of Executive Director at the Blue Foundation! In just a few short months, I've been incredibly inspired by the amazing dedication and professionalism of our board of directors, the wonderful Blue FCU employees, and our supportive members — the true heartbeat of our organization. Our mission, as you're well aware, is to champion, fund, and celebrate the local nonprofit causes that strengthen our community, ensuring financial stability and promoting health and well-being. Looking ahead to the coming year, I'm eagerly anticipating the chance to meet, converse, and share ideas with our fantastic community partners and generous donors, who are pivotal in bringing our mission to life. My aim is to not only preserve but also enhance the remarkable legacy of this organization, all while casting an eye toward a future filled with growth and innovation. I often tell my children, “Make the World a Better Place,” and I wholeheartedly believe that together, we can ignite that spark in everyone to leave the world a better, happier place!
