DEA Announces National Prescription Drug Take Back Day Saturday, September 26 10 am to 2 pm
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) announced the 10th National Prescription Drug Take-Back will take place September 26th from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sites can be set up throughout communities so local residents can return their unwanted, unneeded, or expired prescription drugs for free, safe disposal. This is a great opportunity for your coalition to collaborate with your local police to help make resident's homes safe from drug theft and abuse. Your group may also want to distribute informational flyers or brochures about your coalition at the event to raise awareness and possibly recruit new members. Below is a link to a survey you can use at your event if you would like to collect local data about how people store their medications, etc. You may alter the survey to suit your needs.
