The work began to identify a new brand name to replace Doosan following the sale of Doosan Infracore to HD Hyundai in August 2021. The name DEVELON was chosen to highlight the company’s continued efforts to ‘develop onwards’ and to bring innovative solutions to the construction equipment industry though technological transformation and the development of exceptional equipment and services.

Keeping their strapline of ‘Powered by Innovation’, Develon will continue to innovate in a market which is currently going through a rapid paradigm shift with electrified, eco-friendly and automated products. With a number of innovative solutions currently in the works including Concept X-2, XiteCloud, the DX20ZE-7 electric mini excavator and the development of a battery pack and hybrid engine, Develon aims to become a global top 5 player by 2025.

Develon will continue to focus on manufacturing construction equipment to build critical infrastructure for the betterment of communities and societies around the world. Develon products and services will help customers and partners become industry leaders in construction, demolition, rental, recycling, mining, agriculture and many other industries. Efforts will also be placed on advancing sustainable development through alternative energy sources of power for construction equipment.

Develon will continue as a subsidiary in the Hyundai Genuine group alongside Hyundai Construction Equipment. However, the Develon and Hyundai brands will remain as two separate independent construction equipment companies.

Blue Machinery Central were appointed as the Doosan dealer for the North West and North Wales back in January 2022 and now look forward to representing the company under its new identity. Our customers will see the newly branded machines starting to arrive towards the end of Q2 2023.
