WHY CHOOSE BLUEMUNGUS? Return on Capital Employed is a key measure of the success of any business. But traditionally marketing has always been difficult to measure and as everything has now changed what then for Retorn on Marketing Investment? Bluemungus takes away the pain of marketing for CEOs and hard pressed Marketing Directors. Our primary goal is to help you realise real value from all aspects of your marketing, be that your website, social media, mobile apps or traditional media. A key problem for many companies is understanding the impact of the marketing budget on the bottom line. We are experts in getting more from less. As more budget is moved from traditional media to online, the received wisdom is that it’s easier to measure. Our experience however is that digital has become a bamboozling, moveable feast which business people have trouble understanding and harnessing for the good of the business. 4
We believe that you should have full disclosure and all the work that’s done in the name of the business is transparent and easy to understand so that you can make the right decision. It’s all about growth after all and it’s also about return on investment.
OUR SERVICES
that’s in building a stunning website or creating a new app to capture customers. The third element of what we do is in Digital Marketing. It’s no use having a great website that no one visits, or driving lots of visitors and not getting leads. Our digital marketing is all about growth and driving leads and sales.
Underpinning all our services are three key elements of what we do. All three are vitally important and the strength of Bluemungus as a business partner is that we have depth in all three.
WHAT WE DO
The first is a creative streak that permeates the business – whether we’re working with you in design, mobile, apps or digital, we bring this increasingly rare discipline to bear.
In the following pages you can read about the creative solutions we’ve created for our clients and the results they were able to realise from their investment in Bluemungus.
The second is Technology. Our background is in mobile and web and this means that we can realise your vision technically, whether
Whatever the results our customers looked for our teams were able to bring our considerable skills to bear and always with an eye to growth and success.
On top of the three vital elements of our business: Creative, Technology and Digital, we have delivered many great solutions for our clients.

TIMESPAN MUSEUM & ARTS CENTRE MUSEUM WITHOUT WALLS IPHONE APP
An award-winning museum and public contemporary art gallery in the remote far north of Scotland Timespan wanted a special way to commemorate the 200th anniversary in 2013 of the Highland clearances and to tell the tale around Helmsdale and the Strath in a new and creative way using digital technology. Not only did we design and build the app but we supplied the original photography and illustrations to back up the wealth of archival information that Timespan had collected over the years. This app will also help open that period of history to the user, whether in place or in the comfort of their own home. The Museum Without Walls project is not just an app. There is also a physical trail up the Strath of Kildonan with marker posts situated at the various points of interest highlighted in the app. Included on the posts are QR codes linking to the app so visitors can take part in an interactive treasure hunt game. Not only fun but educational too.

MULLER WISEMAN THE ONE
Robert Wiseman pioneered “The One” brand of 1% Fat milk in a low interest/commodity market. The challenge was how to drive growth and margin in these difficult circumstances. We created a campaign that was designed to disrupt the habit of ‘Green Top’ semi-skimmed milk as a passe slimmers’ milk. At the heart of the campaign was a re-branding and re-packaging of the product in disruptive purple livery. The TV and Point of sale material reinforced the “One” brand as a natural, healthy milk for all the family. The increased exposure resulted in an overall increase in sales and margin of between 40 and 80% across all regions. The Co-operative also saw a 30% sales uplift.

BRIDOR BOOK DESIGN
Having established a partnership with renowned chef and restaurateur Albert Roux, Bridor de France approached us to help them introduce their new range of breads. The requirement was to design and produce a high impact recipe book that showcased the quality and versatility of the bread and the recipes created by Chef Roux. Already world famous for their breads and pastries, Bridor de France, part of Le Duff Group, had created a stunning new collection of breads - Arc-en-Ciel. This new range was specifically developed for the high end restaurant market for which they required a suitably prestigious book and trade press campaign to showcase the products. The Monkey Agency, now part of The Bluemungus Group, were tasked and briefed to work alongside Bridor’s own photographer to produce both the book and press campaign and progress these through to creative concepts and layout design to artwork and final print production. The result is a clean, modern and complimentary design style which was launched at The Restaurant Show, Earls Court, London in October 2013 with a personal appearance by Chef Roux along with Bruno Valette, Chef Consultant at Chez Roux with a demonstration of some of their Arc-en-Ciel recipes.

THE PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS VIDEO & ANIMATION The General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTC Scotland) approached Bluemungus with the idea to create four animations to help relaunch and illustrate the new Professional Standards for teachers. They wanted to make these animations available on the internet and be usable on large screens for presentations We created four animations highlighting the three Professional Standards for teachers around the theme of growth. This theme helped to communicate, in a simplified manner, the core values of the Professional Standards from its roots to its loftier aspirations. As well as designing, illustrating and producing the animations, Bluemungus also supplied the music and recorded the voice-over in-house. The animations are now viewable on-line to help student teachers and qualified teachers reach the standards that are required of them. The animations have also been used in presentations in schools and colleges throughout Scotland.

THE NATIONAL LIBRARY OF SCOTLAND GREAT ESCAPES : MORAY IPHONE APP
The National Library of Scotland were looking for an app that combined The National Library’s extensive collection of material about the Moray/Lossiemouth area, local libraries and museums as well additional content from local schools. Working closely with the team at the National Library we looked at old maps and guidebooks to establish the look and feel we wanted. With this as a visual guide we visited the schools in Elgin and Lossiemouth to help point the kids in the right direction with the content creation. The app features 20 geo-located locations within the area and the user also has options to download extra old maps. This, combined with the information about the locations, gives the user an insight on how the area has changed or in some cases remained the same, through the last one and a half centuries.

RBS 6 NATIONS 2013 CAMPAIGN
For a seventh year, RBS approached The Monkey Agency, now part of The Bluemungus Group, to develop their RugbyForce campaign for the RBS 6 Nations 2013 Championship. Directed primarily at affiliated rugby clubs UK wide to engage fans’ support and raise awareness of the funding, advice and incentives available to all community clubs through the RugbyForce programme. We were tasked with producing a DM pack of various items ranging from fixture cards and posters to bunting and national flags for each of the 6 competing nations, beer mats and 6 Nations related give-aways. Distribution of the packs to 3,000 rugby clubs, 100 RBS branches and 70 RBS office hubs ensured the rugby fraternity had a match day experience in a box! The sponsorship and hospitality campaign required the branding of each of the 6 stadia hospitality suites, internal and external stadium branding including pitchside animated LEDs which ran throughout all matches for NatWest, RBS and Ulster Bank where appropriate. The Championship and campaign was another resounding success and the RBS tagline, ‘We’re stronger as a team’ was warmly received from Dublin to Rome, Edinburgh to Cardiff and London to Paris.

B2B MARKETING CAMPAIGN Having commissioned a single ‘skyline’ illustration, SECC approached The Monkey Agency, now part of Bluemungus, to create an integrated B2B marketing campaign to suit media from trade magazine ads, online digital banners and MPU’s through to outdoor executions and printed literature. The campaign is based solely on the iconic nature of the Glasgow skyline featuring the SECC campus and the new ‘jewel in the crown’ the SSE Hydro. Having established the B2B campaign look, Bluemungus were also tasked with creating printed literature, new Campus maps and concourse directional signage in a colour palette and style complimentary to the main line 31

INFINITE SCOTLAND WEBSITE, APP & MARKETING MATERIAL
Infinite Scotland is an exploration of a country’s DNA – one strand is its biodiversity, the living and inert elements it is made of: rocks, insects, animals, plants, soil and fish – the other strand is the culture of the human beings that live in it. Bluemungus were approached by Creative Services Scotland who were commissioned by Creative Scotland & Scottish Natural Heritage to produce an App, website, branding and print collateral for the project which would also feature a documentary style theatre show. The project was part of The Year of Natural Scotland.
33
Bluemungus created the app to display the Infinite Scotland content in a unique and immersive manner. From the core concepts of Infinite Scotland Bluemungus created full project branding and all print collateral including CD’s, Posters, Theatre programme and flyers. All this content was put together to help reinforce the theatre show which toured Scottish venues in early 2013.

The Apps also featured a bunch of popular Christmas themed games including Charades, Embargo and quizes for the whole family.
