Doug West October 2014
Doug West Doug West’s new series of paintings arouse the senses while making use of fresh and bold arrangements. Best known for brilliantly depicting cloudscapes, mesas, and vegetation lined foothills with intensity and color, West expands his painterly vocabulary to include novel concepts such as magnified compositions of plants set against the evening sky, or a desert bird scurrying across the sands alongside a cholla cactus. These new directions are sure to inspire and delight his dedicated audience.
