EEleanor Cooke Cooper and Dr. Charles “Ray” Halliburton, Jr., were married in a small church ceremony at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Sunday, November 6, 2022, with the Very Reverend Tommy Dillon officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Molly McDonough Cooper and the late Stanley Edwin Cooper, Jr., of Ferriday, Louisiana, and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Patrick A. McDonough (Marguerite “Pete” Lowery) of Vidalia, Louisiana, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Stanley E. Cooper (Elizabeth Quessenberry) of Rochester, New York.
The groom is the son of Ms. Martha Daniel Halliburton and the late Charles Ray Halliburton of Baton Rouge and formally of Clinton, Mississippi, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Troy Edwin Daniel (Velma Littlejohn) of Nashville, Tennessee, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Halliburton (Winnie Smith) of Lafayette, Tennessee.
The bride was given away by her brother, Stanley Edwin Cooper III, and wore an ivory gown by Sachin and Babi while the groom wore a blue suit. Amy Hart Depta of Ferriday served as maid of honor, James Sandifer of Baton Rouge served as best man, and Lisa O’Beirne Ryan of Baton Rouge served as lector.
Once the ceremony concluded, the bride and groom joined guests in the church hall for a champagne toast and Gentilly Cake. After this celebration toast, the couple welcomed guests at Juban’s for a small intimate dinner. Those attending were Dr. Maya Halliburton, Em Rameriz, Andrée Halliburton, William Halliburton, Monica McDonough, Chuck and Sherry Bearden, Kate Limbird, Mandy Limbird, Tina Marie New, Blake and Sheri McCrary, fellow gym buddies Todd and Jennifer Viatar, Tom and Cara Dean, Father John Carville, Boo Murray, Tim Ryan, and Cammie Nettles.
After a mini-moon to New Orleans, Louisiana, the newlyweds have several trips planned to Mexico, Scotland, Ireland, Iceland, and Thailand.
