NATCHEZ, MISSISSIPPI | FEBRUARY 12, 2022
OOn February 12, 2022, Taylor Brooke Yates of Vidalia, Louisiana, and John Parker Nix of Natchez, Mississippi, exchanged their wedding vows in First Baptist Church of Natchez with Brother Doug Broome officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Douglas Yates of Vidalia and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Boles and Mr. and Mrs. David Yates, Sr., all of Vidalia.
The groom is the son of Mr. Jayson Nix and the late Mrs. Karen Nix of Natchez and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Huey Martin and of Mrs. Ruth Nix and the late Mr. John Nix, all of Natchez.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Pronovias “Hepburn” gown. As the name suggests, this chic Mikado wedding dress emits timeless elegance with its flattering fitted sleeves, exposed back, and deep V-neckline trimmed with delicate, scalloped lace around the edge. She complemented her gown with an elegant veil and accessories from Town & Country Bridal in New Orleans, and she carried a bouquet of Vandella roses, white stock, and white hydrangeas.
During the ceremony, the bride and groom lit a candle in memory of his mother. Prior to the ceremony, during their first look, she had given him a handkerchief made from his mother’s wedding dress. On it was the name “Boywonder,” her nickname for him.

Each of these elegant gowns offered a fresh take on tradition, a sexy sophistication with its luminous shine, modern double spaghetti strap, asymmetrical neckline, and convenient side pockets. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of Vandella roses, white stock, and white hydrangeas.
