DID YOU KNOW... Every donation you make ensures the Blyth Festival is able to produce and present the best in Canadian theatre. We are also committed to supporting the following: New Play Development As we head into our 45th Season, we continue to develop and produce the best in new Canadian theatre, and to tell the stories of this very place, to put this very region, and its very real lives on stage. Supporting New Play Development is key to the future of the Blyth Festival. We need a number of new works in development so that there is never a shortage of new Canadian stories being told on our stages. You are helping us sow the seeds for tomorrow’s harvest. The Young Company In Huron and Bruce Counties, there is no other professional organization devoted to nurturing young people in the creation of professional theatre, and at no cost. Each summer, Blyth offers the opportunity for up to 15 young people (aged 14-19) to train with professional theatre artists over the course of five weeks. At the end of the session they present a full length production of their own creation in the Phillips Studio. Young people are offered the chance to explore all aspects of the theatre, from playwriting, to acting, to technical production.
