Welcome We are thrilled to open our 2019/20 season with the annual Wake Forest Home & Garden Show where every aspect of the home can be explored, from the smallest design detail to the largest house addition. Professionals will be on hand to share their valuable knowledge to bring your ideas to life or inspire you with new ones. In September, join us in celebrating the diversity of Wake Forest at the Trung Thu Moon Festival! Steeped in tradition, this ancient Vietnamese celebration revolves around children. Learn more about the Vietnamese culture through music, stories, dance, arts, crafts and food. Also in September, Forest Moon Theater (Wake Forest’s Community Theater) will start their season at the Renaissance Centre with the iconic production of Steel Magnolias. Break out the tissues! This powerful story follows the bond between a group of women in a small Southern town and shows how they deal with love and loss. We love bringing children’s literature to life on stage! Mark your calendars in October for Vital Theatre’s production based on the popular, award winning children’s book Angelina Ballerina the Musical. This family-friendly show will have you dancing in the aisles. We had a tremendously fun and successful Rockin’ The Forest concert series last year, so we decided to keep on rockin’. Each month starting in October, we have planned a night of great music featuring some of the best bands in the region. Experience the magic at the RC in November with Joshua Lozoff! His magic combines amazing illusions with mental feats that explore the possibilities of the human mind. The entire family will enjoy a fun, mind-boggling evening that will leave you amazed and laughing. But the magic doesn’t stop there! Don’t forget to bring the kids to enjoy our monthly morning magic shows with Happy Dan the Magic Man. As the holiday season draws near, shop authentic, handmade gifts and more at the Holiday Artisans Market by ARTS Wake Forest and celebrate the season at one of our Live From Nashville: Merry Country Christmas concerts! The joy of Christmas comes to you in this delightful production of toe-tapping, heartfelt music of the holidays. On behalf of the Renaissance Centre staff, we thank you for supporting the arts in Wake Forest and we look forward to serving you this upcoming season. See you soon! — Cathy Gouge, renaissance centre manager

“Don’t expect the theatre to satisfy the habits of its audience, but to change them.” — Bertolt Brecht Wake Forest Renaissance Centre for the Arts 405 S. Brooks St., Wake Forest, NC 27587 wakeforestrencen.org
