This surround has very contemporary lines, and has the big advantage of simplifying shutdown of the fire, as it no longer requires fitting into the building wall.

LINE is also offered in a COMPACT version, arranged more discreetly around and under the fire. It is available for the entire Infire, Optifire and Design green ranges. Its height is adjustable up to 60 cm. This arrangement has the virtue of being suitable for any interior, even the most cramped.COMPACT LINE is offered in black, while the base can be black or white.

LINE is available in left or right versions, including a fitted removable log tray and optional integrated ventilation (except Design 1000 green, for which this is obligatory). Pedestal is available in black or white, and displays a subtle combination of steel and a laminated timber-look surface, emphasising the highly contemporary style of the whole set.

TwoDesigners is a new LiĂ¨ge design studio that specialises in promoting new ideas. Having already earned their spurs in various ways of fitting out premises, it was only natural that BG should turn to them when developing its new Line range of surrounds. Jonathan Honvoh and Rodrigue Strouwen share a highly graphic view of design and a passion for street art. As expressed, their work suggests the multiple functions for which items are intended. Flexibility, multi-functionality and a graphic presence are the stockin-trade of their creations.

1 The door comes complete with a panoramic window giving a superb view of the fire, and fitted with robust stainless-steel seals (12). With its discreet closure system and removable handle, the façade gives a clear and elegant view. 2 The combustion chamber is deep and made of high-quality steel, it guarantees that the heat is distributed quickly. 3 The interior screen with its base made of heat-reflecting bricks and sides available in Skamolex, cast-iron provides a high combustion temperature and/or thermal inertia, even for prolonged periods. 4 The baffle made of Skamolex and protected by a stainless-steel coating, ensures high-output combustion with exceptionally low emissions of carbon monoxide and particulates. 8 Primary air thermostat operated manually and thermally, it ensures good control of combustion for optimal heat output, minimum consumption and long-lasting warmth. 9 The hot-air outlets can be used to direct heat to other areas of your house. 10 The secondary air layer provides a flow of air along the window to ensure it remains completely clean, also to provide auxiliary combustion, thereby increasing the output and reducing emissions of carbon monoxide and particulates. 11 The base deflector prevents ash from escaping from the grate when opening the door. 12 Robust yet flexible stainless steel seals make the door totally sealed. 13 The completely sealed air admission box ensures ideal distribution of combustion air within the chamber with its two thermostats (7 and 8). 14 The central air intake under the fireplace facilitates the external connection to the fireplace, ensuring that the system will be completely airtight in relation to the home. A major new addition for the 2014-2015 season, CONCEPT GREEN fires are the ultimate culmination of the development of environmentally friendly wood-burning fitted fires from BG. Dubbed "green" along with a high proportion of current appliances in the range, they are, of course, characterised by low CO emissions and fine particles, but also by their perfect airtightness and external air intake which makes them completely compatible with energy-efficient homes.

Available in 4 basic sizes, 510, 510 V, 760 and 900, in single or double-sided versions, each with their own strength of character, they also offer more than 25 possible combinations thanks to the incredible STUDIO cabinets. These turn your fireplace into a high-performance, easy-toinstall stove – because it requires no special housing - and is easy to incorporate into any home décor. How does the PHENIX GREEN fireplaces work? 1 Mechanism of telescopic chains and counterweights, using free bearings. 2 Runner fitted with Eriflon rollers, ensuring absolute silence in operation thanks to a very low friction factor. No lubrication required. 3 Smoke clearing from the window using preheated air. 4 Airtight thanks to a special system of guides. 5 Door can be opened by swinging out; this facilitates cleaning. 6 Absence of metal below the window, allowing a more unrestricted view of the fire. Their beautiful, highly refined lines, complete with soothing yellow flames, coupled with really high-power heating appliances if so desired. With our exclusive programmable remote temperature-control, you can control everything by a few clicks of your fingertips. BGâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s gas-burning fireplaces are perfectly airtight and do not intake air from the room, therefore there is absolutely no risk of CO poisoning (carbon monoxide). Furthermore, the many security systems directly installed in our appliances make our gas range one of the safest in the world. For its aesthetical appearance, you can choose between a background of white, grey or black stones, or if you enjoy woodburning fires you can select the decorative log kit, which is available as an option. Feel free to compare the different glazed backgrounds and see how they affect your view of the flames, or just go for one of the many decorative frames.

Great technological progress

The whole range of BG gas-burning fireplaces are developed around the principle of suction-based airtight combustion. This way, they don’t burn air from the room in which they are located. Instead they take it from outside thanks to an ingenious system of concentric ducts.

There are many advantages to this choice, such as the use of horizontal ducts or the extraction of exhaust gas through a wall. You also eliminate any risk of CO poisoning. The cold air pulsed into the room warms when in contact with the fireplace and enters the room via the air vents, either naturally or using power ventilation.

How do BG gas-burning fireplaces work?

EES : no more restriction ! BG have a world-wide patent on their exclusive extraction system; it sets the installation of your fireplace free from all the traditional rules for installing exhaust ducts. It enables duct lengths to be up to 50m long, going down or in any direction! The EES reduces the diameter of pipes to 130mm. The installation will be much easier! The EES comes as standard for all the models in the gas range, compact and quiet, it is easy to install, to maintain and to connect! Gas-burning fireplaces with EES are easy to use and come with a fully programmed remote control. Argos and Argos Plus models are supplied with a 750 m3/hr turbine.

The EES ‘bi-ow’ The EES Bi-Flow system allows the installer to separate the route of combustion air ducting, from the route of waste products ducting. Key advantages of this system are ;

- This means that combustion air can be provided directly with plastic ducting, which reduces cost. - The ducting for waste products is reduced to 80mm, which is less expensive and much easier to install. Overall, the ‘Bi-flow’ increases installation possibilities and reduces installation costs.

Once again, BG is revolutionising the normal principles that govern the installation of gas fires with the collective EES, which allows you to switch on up to 15 appliances through a single outlet pipe, which is ideal for example for new buildings. 1 With extractor fan 2 Without extractor fan

This exclusive system enables you to have a single central pipe rather than 15 separate pipes! Needless to say, the cost has been brought down substantially, while installation turns out to be much faster and simpler.

The Soft Heating System, a BG exclusive If you wish to instal a TV set above the fireplace, this system prevents any build-up of heat in the wall behind the screen, thanks to ventilation that removes heat through an auxiliary aeration outlet. The screen can be fitted in complete safety!

Safe gas evolution ... the safest gas-burning range in the world. Particularly remarkable thanks to their subtly sophisticated innovative design, BG gas-burning fireplaces combine exceptional heating power and the guarantee of absolute safety, thanks to the new â&#x20AC;&#x153;Safe Gas Evolutionâ&#x20AC;? kit which will gradually be installed as standard on all appliances in the range. Safety systems Easy opening door system on at least two axles allows greater extraction of gases and prevent any problem with the glazing. The safety hatch allows maximum elimination of gases. The thermocouple provides double flame control: pilot light ignition and the guarantee of a flame when the pilot light is on.

External electronic system* Bodart & Gonay has developed a directly accessible functional dual purpose box: It contains all the electronic components for controlling the fireplace (control unit, EEC card, ventilation card, second thermocouple box, start up and manual control switch) which has two advantages: - it is no longer necessary to dismantle the appliance in order to access any of its components - these components are not subjected to high temperatures It serves as a decompression grille and inspection panel for the service duct. Built into the chimney, it replaces the grille or the obligatory hatch is not always attractive in appearance.

A second thermocouple controls the burner flame and ensures the ignition switch is working correctly. If there is no connection between the pilot light and the burner, the valve shuts off. To prevent the accumulation of gas inside the appliance, it is not possible to carry out more than 3 consecutive ignitions in less than 5 minutes. Concentric ducts Thanks to the airtightness of the fireplaces and concentric ducts, no CO leaks out into the room. The risk of CO poisoning is therefore null.
