WELCOME TO

At the southernmost tip of the Baja California Peninsula and framed by two oceans, Los Cabos beckons
INTRODUCTION
The distinctive landscape of cactus-studded desert and the stark peaks of the Sierra de la Laguna mountain, transform gradually into expansive beaches watched over by the otherworldly rock formations of Lands End Cabo San Lucas.
With an emphasis on all things luxury, the upscale Mexican enclave is an attractive sell to a range of clients: couples for romantic breaks, families who want to take advantage of the great outdoors, those looking for great gastronomy and clients looking for natural surrounds.
Top-class spas and championship golf courses await for wellness or time on the fairways.

CUISINE

CULTURE
With the arrival of its first-ever Michelin guide in 2024, Los Cabos is enjoying much-deserved acclaim for its food scene. What’s more, the entire region has a strong farmto-table movement, focussed on sustainable produce and dining.
Cabo San Lucas is renowned for its high-end culinary scene with Michelin-star spots including Cocina de Autor at Grand Velas Los Cabos and Japanese-Mexican fusion restaurant Nicksan. Family-run taquerias and street food stalls provide authentic local flavours.
In San José del Cabo, many of the town’s eateries reflect its artistic heritage in attractive, peaceful environments.
Acre, surrounded by jungle, is another fusion offering, serving both ceviche and ramen in an open-air setting.
Flora’s Field Kitchen, formerly an organic farm, grows its own produce, raises chickens, has an onsite butcher program, and bakes all its bread, too.
There’s plenty of food-focussed events to tickle the taste buds too, with many of them recurring daily or weekly.
Every Wednesday at Chileno Bay Resort & Residences, the Washoku Dinner experience combines the Japanese culinary tradition with Mexican coastal gastronomy.

As the birthplace of surrealist darling Frida Kahlo it’s unsurprising that Mexico has a rich history when it comes to art. Los Cabos is carrying forward this tradition, with its wide selection of galleries and museums and regular art exhibitions for every clients’ tastes.
The village of Todos Santos, considered a “Magic Town”, is a must-visit, with its colourful buildings and streets lined with local Mexican arts and crafts. From November through June, the cobblestones of San Jose del Cabo’s Art District heave with artisans and art
lovers alike during the weekly Thursday Art Walk.
Visitors should also take the opportunity to learn about the indigenous Pericues Indians who have called Los Cabos their home for centuries.
Their culture is revealed in myriad exhibitions in local museums such as the Natural History Museum of Cabo San Lucas, with its artifacts and collections of paleobotany, geology, and paleo-biology.
Lovers of dance and theatre should head over to the city’s marina, where they will catch a show at the 700-seat Cultural Pavilion of the Republic.

CULTURAL RICHES BEACH BOLTHOLES

With the highest concentration of luxury product in Latin America, there is a steady flow of new resorts and hotels in the pipeline, alongside a stellar current offering of high-end hotels and resorts.
Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, Montage Los Cabos, Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Viceroy Los Cabos, and two Auberge properties, Esperanza and Chileno Bay, are just some of the big-name brands which have opened their doors in Los Cabos.
Boutique properties are all the rage too. Hotel El Ganzo’s rooftop pool, which attracts a celebrity crowd, is the place to be seen, while Rukhsana’s Wellness & Heavenly Retreat is suited to those looking for tranquility and a strong wellness offer.
Another favourite of UK travellers is the One & Only Palmilla.
It’s not just the water which is famously blue: the region is home to 25 certified blue flag beaches.
Those hoping to spot aquamarine life should head to Chileno Beach, which has excellent water clarity

for snorkelling, while Acapulquito is great for catching waves on a surfboard. Santa María and Palmilla Beach are other solid blue flag options to suggest.

There are many other shorelines that, although not designated blue flag, are standout spots. Playa del Amor (or Lover’s Beach) is a secluded cove ringed by the area’s iconic granite rocks. It’s easily reached by water taxi from nearby Medano beach, although paddleboarding, kayaking or taking a glass boat across come highly recommended.
Medano Beach is situated in the buzzy hub of Cabo San Lucas. Best for activity lovers, hop on a jet-ski, make new friends during a volleyball game or charter a parasailing trip.
Many beaches ideal for swimming sit along the Scenic Route, a stretch of land which spans 20 miles and links Cabo San Lucas with San José del Cabo. At the 13km mark, Santa Maria marine sanctuary can be found in a horseshoe-shaped bay, surrounded by coves.
DID YOU KNOW The Gulf of California has been hailed by UNESCO as “a gem for conservation” , with one-third of the world’s marine mammals found in Los Cabos

CALL OF THE WILD
Lovers of outdoor life can hit the fresh air and the mountain trails on a bike tour, or absorb the soothing sound of the waves whilst pedalling alongside the ocean.
Or they can saddle up and unleash their inner cowboy on a guided horseback riding tour, taking in the scenery in a leisurely manner.
Clients may be surprised to discover camel rides are popular here too.
Wildlife like coyotes, roadrunners and quail (which would normally be spooked by loud ATVs) are regularly glimpsed on treks.
After being out under the blazing sun, take a plunge in a freshwater pool at the base of one of the numerous waterfalls cascading from the cliff sides.
Recommend Cañón de la Zorra, or the Foxes Tail, a 40-foot spray found in Fox Canyon.
Camping in the Baja Desert
is another great way to connect with the natural world. Rancho Cacachilas can provide the bikes, pairing rides with luxurious camping, or “blamping”.
Packages include sleeping on the beach or overnight in the desert, with the option to hike the Sierra de la Laguna mountain range, sleep under the stars in the East Cape or a fabulous feast on the beach along the Pacific coastline.
There’s a whole world to be discovered in the ocean too, with five of the most biodiverse and productive maritime regions in the world found in Los Cabos.
In addition to snorkelling at Cabo Pulmo or the shallower waters of Chileno Bay, suiting up in dive gear opens up deeper exploration at Sand Falls and Neptune’s Fingers along the El Arco beachfront.
Explore the El Vencedor shipwreck and El Bajo natural reef.

THREE UNMISSABLE EXPERIENCES

Although there’s a year-round roster of activities, tours and days out to recommend, here are three unmissable picks to book for clients, focussed on ecotourism and the region’s bumper nature offering:
WHALE OF A TIME
Marvel at magnificent beasts offshore during the whale watching session. The leviathans’ seasonal migration takes place from December through April, when they head en-masse for the nutrient-rich waters of Alaska. A variety of boats from catamarans to yachts run charters to spot the pods of grey and humpback whales swimming and frolicking with
their calves. This period is also the season for glimpsing whale sharks, the largest fish in the sea. Tours should be booked early as they fill up quickly.
TALE AS OLD AS TIME
Dive or snorkel in the “Aquarium of the World”, a hard coral reef that is over 20,000 years old.
Cabo Pulmo is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to over 800 species of marine life. An impressive example of conservation efforts, five of the world’s seven endangered species of turtle find refuge here, along with bull sharks, tiger sharks, hammerhead sharks, blacktip and whitetip sharks.

HIKE, HIKE BABY
Strap on your walking boots for a hike through the sublime Sierra de la Laguna mountain range, with panoramic views over everything the light touches.
Weary walkers will be rewarded with a peaceful oasis in the heart of the mountains, where they can cool off. Dedicated to preserving the area’s natural beauty, Sol de Mayo is a natural sanctuary dotted with calm pools, a magnificent waterfall, and native flora and fauna.
