Region Training Conference (RTC) is an annual event that is put on by the current Lt. Governors in Region 13. This year, we were able to have our RTC at South Pasadena High School. Many officers and Division Leadership Team members were able to host workshops on various topics that are meant to help members and upcoming offciers learn more about Key Club and leadership. Some of the workshops that may be presented at RTC are: Membership development, Service Projects, Fundraising, Member Recognition, Running for office, Officer workshops, District Projects, Kiwanis Family and much more! In addition to workshops we were able to have a Key Note speaker, Evan Wesley from The Thirst Project educate us on the global water crisis. We were also able to have a few colleges come out and give us insight on what the college life is like! This RTC was the first time I had the opportunity to plan the event as a Lt. Governor. It was such an amazing experience to be able to give members the opportunity to learn new leadership abilities and meet new Key Clubbers from the various divisions in Region 13. I had such an amazing time seeing Seals laugh, smile, and learn! It was a bittersweet moment for me because it marked another milestone until the end of this 2015-2016 term. I was able to meet so many amazing people! I highly encourage people to attend next year’s Region Training Conference. -Austin Ly Lieutenant Governor

Del Haven Halloween The Del Haven Community Center hosted its annual Halloween Party on Oct. 27. Most members, including me, helped set up for the party on Oct. 24. At the Del Haven Community Center, the Los Altos and Glen A. Wilson Key Clubs were instructed to help design a spooky Halloween maze for elementary school children. The instructors gave us materials such as spider webs, paint, dummies, and a huge variety of Halloween props. This event proved to be extremely fun because we had no limit to what we could and couldn’t do. The instructors allowed us to design and innovate the maze as we pleased. In addition, I was also able to socialize with both members from my home club and members from other clubs, such as Kiwins. Towards the afternoon, the Del Haven Community Center staff treated us with pizza for lunch. Afterwards, we cleaned up the materials we used and walked through the maze ourselves, marveling at our own creation. This really was an awesome experience and I hope more members continue to participate at this volunteer event next year! -Chris Hu Secretary

Fall Rally Prep The past two Saturdays were the division's pre-fall rally spirit sessions. At these events, members would learn and practice the cheers that they would perform at fall rally. These events not only taught spirit cheers to people, they also brought our division together as a whole. Word of advice: If you haven't gone to fall rally or are planning to attend next year, make sure to try and go to all of the spirit sessions, as that'll prepare you a whole bunch for fall rally. Now let's go win that spirit stick!

Del Haven Work Day On Sunday November 8,2015 at Del Haven community center, it was my first volunteer service event for key club. I was nervous at first because of meeting new people from other schools. Eventually, I made new friends and worked together at Del Haven. As a team, we accomplished our goals to clean up the outside of the community center by removing junk and painting the walls of the gym. We also helped painting the outside wall of the inside building and the outside stairs. The service at Del Haven made me feel confident than usual to assist people in the future. -Allen Wang Member

A Final Bark from the News Editor Hello everyone! Thank you to all those who came to Fall Rally this year! We gave it our all at the spirit session as a family, and that’s all that matters. With or without winning the spirit stick, everyone had a fun and memorable time regardless. I am personally proud of our spirit leaders and LTG for being great and inspiring representatives of the Key Club spirit and love. I’m so thankful to have gone to Fall Rally with my fellow seals, and I am excited for next year! Speaking of thankfulness, Thanksgiving is coming! Remember that we’re lucky to have the lives we have right now. We are actually able to have access to food and water, live in our own homes, be surrounded by wonderful people, have education, pursue our goals, and live life without boundaries to restrict us. Of course, we all have our own small dilemmas, but there’s always some support to help us with those issues. Since we are blessed with these opportunities and luxuries that others may not have, remember to be grateful for those special people in your life and for your own life. Without them, you would not be the person you are today. Among the things you can give and still keep are your word, a smile, and a grateful heart. -Brianna Chang Bulletin News Editor
