The Boarding Schools' Association represents around 450 independent and state boarding schools across the UK. I am writing to let you know that many of our member schools are anxious to support children from Syria in any way they can by offering boarding places to those who would most benefit from the opportunity. We feel this would be life changing for these children giving them the chance of a stable, all-round education within a highly supportive pastoral setting. We hold a growing list of schools prepared to offer places for children and the BSA would be pleased to offer its services to the Government as a single point of contact for the boarding sector. This would provide a co-ordinated approach and help match children with the right school. On behalf of the boarding schools sector, we look forward to hearing how best we can offer support and assistance and help to transform the lives of Syrian families coming to the UK. Yours sincerely
