Black Diamond Rob Alwin is a firm believer that if you receive a blessing, you need to pay it forward. A few years ago, Rob and his wife Lisa were in dire need of a blessing themselves. Rob was the owner/ broker of a Keller Williams Realty franchise when the real estate market started on a downward spiral. They were about to lose their dream house when a pesky neighbor by the name of Todd Hartog came calling. Todd, a fellow R3Global Black Diamond Executive, called and left the Alwins three messages. “Each time, I thought, ‘Weird. This guy wants me to come to his house and try punch. I’m not calling him back,’” Rob laughs. “If he had not come over to our house and blocked me in my driveway when I was trying to back out, we wouldn’t be in MonaVie.” It was Todd’s tenacity, he says, that really got him in the business. The two started out as acquaintances, but now count each other as close friends. Do Unto Others Within six months, Rob was able to retire from his once-fledgling real estate business — a success he attributes to the R3Global Total Support System. “By having a System, you’re plugging people into a culture. R3Global is a business teaching organization, but more importantly it’s a group of ministers who are ministering to people’s lives and helping them spiritually and emotionally,” he says. Rob is now able to spend more time with his family, along with building MonaVie and helping others achieve similar success. “One of the main reasons that we’re involved in this is because we believe in the product and we believe that there are millions of people out there who are

hurting,” Rob says. “When you’re blessed, you need to be a blessing.” Helping People Is Addictive Rob compares this need to help others as an “Easter Egg Hunt.” “That’s our biggest burden — that there’s another family out there that’s struggling and this might be the night where we change their lives forever,” he says. “It’s kind of like an adult Easter Egg Hunt. You’re looking under every bush. We’re looking for people that are moldable, teachable and appreciative.” Rob spends five to six nights a week hosting tasting parties, attending meetings and showing the plan — all in hopes of
touching the lives of others, (a.k.a. paying it forward). “It’s addictive. Helping people is addictive,” he says simply. Initially Rob didn’t understand why Brig Hart had such a full schedule, but now he gets it. “I love impacting people’s lives with hope. I say, ‘I used to be a real estate broker, now I’m a hope broker.’” When asked if he sees retirement in his future, Rob laughs, “I want to do this until the day I die. Until my last breath. I want to run around talking about God, family, R3Global and MonaVie. No matter how big this gets, I could never see myself stopping.” TCM

Black Diamond Executives Ed and Shelly Aristizabal have a lot to thank their friends for. Over 14 years ago, a mutual friend introduced them to each other in their hometown of Naples. Four years ago, it was another friend who introduced the couple to MonaVie. Shelly’s good friend and fellow R3Global distributor Diane Nafziger invited her to a Tasting Party. Even though Crowne Black Diamond Executives Steve and Gina Merritt had driven six hours to be the guest speakers, it turned out that Shelly and her aunt Loretta Canter — a Ruby in the business — were the only ones to show. This taught Shelly an important lesson in the early stages of the business. “You don’t have to have a ton of people there,” she says. “You just have to have people
who are looking.” Now Black Diamond Executives, the Aristizabals are happy to say Shelly was looking. Getting on Board Ed, the owner of a mortgage company, wasn’t as easy to convince. Initially, he didn’t see the immeasurable potential of MonaVie and the R3Global System. It took eight months to get him on board - even though Shelly was having tremendous success. “It just goes to show you that resiliency and persistency pays off,” Ed says. “She knew that if she kept providing the proof and showing results, that there was no way I wouldn’t eventually come around.” And he is so glad he did. After two years in the business, the Aristizabals turned Black Diamond and Ed was able to

retire from his mortgage company. “Everybody has their time. Some people may say, ‘no,’ but that doesn’t mean ‘no’ forever,” Ed advises. “Circumstances and people change, so you have to always leave that door open in case they come back to you and say, ‘Hey, let’s talk about that opportunity you showed me.’” The Important Things in Life For Shelly, having her own home-based business means she can be a mom AND have a career at the same time. “It’s just allowed us so much more time with our kids,” she says. This past summer, the Aristizabal clan was able to tour the country in a motorcoach, promoting R3Global along the way. “We were 100 percent with the kids 24/7,” Shelly happily brags. In addition to exposing them to desert scenery and national landmarks, Ed and Shelly have also been able to expose their four children to what time and money can really do — help others. Recently, Ed took their oldest son Nicolas down to visit the MORE Project in Brazil. When 28-year-old R3Global Black Diamond Executive Calvin Becerra puts his mind to something — he succeeds. Whether it’s working in real estate, the mortgage industry or selling purple super juice via relational marketing, Calvin finds that helping others, staying positive and maintaining a strong faith foundation will lead to immeasurable wealth. The Accidental Profession In college, Calvin majored in Criminology and Pre-Law. build relationships at every level. “This business is truly about building a sense of community,” he says. “Have a barbeque every month with your team or plan a pool party every few weeks. This helps you to establish a sense of community with your team. It helps people to feel like they are a part of something bigger than themselves. People won’t turn their AutoShip off for the simple fact that they wouldn’t be a part of this community anymore — they wouldn’t be a part of this family.” Faith Foundation Calvin credits R3Global with helping him to establish the faith foundation of his business — something that he found was missing in the beginning. “R3Global helps the leaders get grounded and stay

Jill Cattano didn’t need much convincing when she met her future husband Brian. Within the first week of meeting at a scuba diving class, the two had already been on a date — the first step in a 21-year-long journey. “He’s a pretty funny guy and I’m pretty serious,” Jill remembers of her first impression. “It wasn’t necessarily love at first sight, but we were a good match and he had me laughing.” At the time Brian — the eternal entrepreneur — owned a cabinetry business and Jill was in college. Envious of his time freedom, Jill left school to help out around the shop. She realized that while a degree is important, it’s not the only recipe for success. Instead, she says, you need “getup-and-go, street smarts and a hard work ethic.” The Cattanos spent the next few years working hard four days a week and playing even harder the other three — going scuba diving in the ocean every weekend. A Little Convincing After 15 years of marriage, Jill had come to trust Brian’s business decisions, but she was cautious when MonaVie came calling. She needed a little convincing when a friend introduced the couple to the regal purple juice in February of 2006. They had been in a network marketing business before and Jill wasn’t interested in a new one. So she gave her husband, who had signed up without even trying the product, an ultimatum. “You have two months to convince me,” she said. It was love at first sight when the two met as teenagers over 34 years ago in the high school cafeteria — and to this day, they’ve stood by each other’s side for more than three decades. After 29 years of marriage and raising four kids, the Curtis’ were successful in so many aspects of life, but they felt like something was missing. They wanted to secure a financial legacy to leave behind. Kim says, “It was important to me that we build something that all of our kids could inherit. A No-Brainer It was about four years ago, when the Curtis’ last kid was about to graduate high school, that Steve Merritt called Matt and told him that a man by the name of Charlie Kalb would be bringing a nutritional beverage from North Florida down to South Florida. There was to be a Tasting Party that weekend and he had to be there. “I didn’t think I really wanted to do this business, but when I got over there, Charlie and Steve were so excited about the opportunity and they believed in the product so much that I was in the business within seven minutes,” Matt remembers. “They asked me if I was eating any fruit and I wasn’t, so Charlie sent the application across the table and said, ‘Hey, let’s get you eating your fruit and see if you don’t feel as good as we do.’ It was a no-brainer.”
Within 105 days, Matt and Kim became the fastest to rise to R3Global Blue Diamond Executives. Within six months, they had tripled their income and Matt was able to retire from his carpentry business. He says, “Back then, there were only two Blue Diamonds (Brig and Charlie) and all we had was the berry brochure as we called it and the M.A.P. Book. We would just follow the M.A.P.” The Perks Aren’t Too Bad The Curtis’ have been able to fulfill a lot of their dreams since becoming involved with MonaVie. Matt bought his dream car, a Bentley, and to celebrate a landmark birthday, Kim got a Camaro SS. The family also enjoys a newly-acquired beautiful, antique wooden boat at their home in Lake
Lure, N.C., and they’ve been able to put an impressive nest egg away for the kids. “One of the things we did right away was we made sure our friends and family got involved — whether it was drinking the juice or being a part of the business,” Matt says. Kathleen Deggelman’s the kind of woman who doesn’t sit around and wait for life to happen to her — she makes it happen. In May 2006, Kathleen was a full-time real estate investor. The housing market started to slip and she knew it was time to look for a new venture. At the same time, she was on a routine weekly conference call with her good friend Tina Dupart when she learned about MonaVie, the açai berry, and relational marketing. “I said, ‘This sounds really interesting. Let’s check this out,’” Kathleen remembers. A Passion for People Before MonaVie, Kathleen had a passion for helping children — forming a non-profit that supports orphanages around the world. When she learned about the MORE Project, she says, “It was definitely one of those things that let me know I was in the right place at the right time.” Since then, MORE has become close to Kathleen’s heart. In 2009, she took two trips to Brazil. “It was such an amazing experience,” she says of her first trip spending time with the kids of the favelas and Sergio Ponce (MORE Project Brazil Director) and his family. On Kathleen’s second trip, she went on the VIP Amazon Expedition — spending five days traveling
up and down the Amazon River. “We got to see how their lives have changed now that they help us harvest the açai berry,” she says of meeting families who live in the rain forest. “We got to swim with pink dolphins, fish for piranha and catch a crocodile. We even ate a fish stew made out of the piranha — not that tasty!” For Kathleen, finding financial success in MonaVie is really about finding a way to financially succeed for the MORE Project. “One of the things I always say is that I love how it’s called, ‘The MORE Project,’ because it’s doing so much MORE than people can imagine,” she says. The Hartogs were already living pretty successful lives before R3Global and MonaVie came along. For 15 years, Todd owned and operated eight tanning salons with over 60 employees while wife Angelique spent the past 10 years as a busy real estate lawyer. What was their
one complaint? There wasn’t any time to enjoy the fruits of their labor... or each other. “We were always busy. No life — always working,” Todd says. “You just kind of pass each other in the morning and pass each other at night.” An Unlikely Introduction Todd had known fellow R3Global Black Diamond Joe Licciardi off and on for about 20 years. They weren’t great friends, but whether it was a business venture or just some friendly advice — they always kept in touch. One day, Joe called Todd and asked if he could come by Todd’s office to share something with him. Todd agreed. When Joe got there, he excitedly started talking about fruit, the açai berry, and MonaVie. “After sampling the product for three days, what really got me was when Joe told me about his dream,” Todd says. Angelique is semi-retired — only working a few hours per month — and Todd was finally able to sell his tanning salons. “It gives us the freedom of time. We don’t HAVE to do anything. And the Hartogs don’t mind it at all when the parents at school keep asking what they do for a living that allows them so much freedom. They love to help people — especially those closest to them. “It’s empowering in a completely different way that kind of surpasses the financial award — to know that you were responsible for introducing someone to this wonderful life of network marketing,” Todd says. “That’s pretty rewarding. You can’t put a price tag on that.” But the income’s not bad either. The Hartogs now make more money per year than most people do in a 10 or 20-year span. It allows them the financial freedom to do what they want “and then some.” They’re also enjoying the incentive trips — traveling to places like Ireland, Hawaii and Europe. “We’ve taken more vacations in the past 27 months than the entire time we’ve known each other,” Todd says of spending time with his wife. “He was the new guy that I had to sit down and talk to,” Teresa Henry says of meeting her husband Scott under a tree at a church picnic. After 21 years of marriage, it’s fitting that the two met near God’s house — they live each day with His will in mind. It was God’s will, after all, that brought them the gift of MonaVie and R3Global. Well, God and Matt and Kim Curtis. For years, the families had been vacationing together. “Matt was actually in my house in North Carolina when Steve Merritt called him and said he needed to sign up two people for this thing called MonaVie,” Scott remembers. They can laugh about it now, but at the time, Matt didn’t even tell his good buddy about the opportunity. It was six weeks later when the two met for lunch and Matt unveiled the nutritional beverage. The first thing the Henrys did, before they even tried the juice, was to sign up their oldest son Scotty. Scott says, “We had never been in a network before; we didn’t know what we were doing. When Rodney Howard-Browne is looking for help, he does what most of us do — he calls on his best friend — Jesus. Back in his native home of South Africa, Rodney was praying to find a wife. “I know some people might not understand this, but I walked into a place and I heard a voice saying, ‘There’s your wife,’” he remembers of the day, 28 years ago, that he met Adonica. “The first night we went out, I told her I was going to marry her.” Rodney trusted his best friend. The couple was engaged six weeks later and married six months after that. The rest is history. Another Divine Introduction The Howard-Brownes have spent their lives devoted and devout. “Everywhere we go, and we’ve been to 50 countries around the world, we introduce people to the presence of God and the reality of the Lord,” Rodney says of their international missionary organization, church, Bible School, school of worship and the homes in South Africa for abandoned children that they support. “There are many religions in the world, but there is only one Jesus.” In the past, the couple tried a few other network marketing ventures. They even made some money from them. The problem was that the people under them couldn’t make any money. “I was looking for a tool where everyone could make money,”
Rodney explains. In 2005, they were introduced to a new relational marketing opportunity via their good friends Brig and Lita Hart. Rodney says he was very skeptical to try the purple super juice called MonaVie, but when he did, he felt an overall sense of well being and better health within three days.
Working the Business Rodney was convinced that they had a good product, but he needed help with the business side. So he called on Brig for help. His good friend went above and beyond — he stayed at his house and taught him the R3Global System (before there even was one). During those few days, the HowardBrownes went Bronze, Silver and Gold. “Brig was sitting right there with me in my office,” he remembers. “My line was, ‘Give me your credit card and social security number. We’re going into business.’” As they travel the world, Rodney and Adonica are constantly asked to try new products. “Over the past four years, we have been approached by many other networks to come on board with them,” Rodney says. “I just smile and say, ‘I’m already in one. I have no desire to switch.’” He does, however, wish they had more time to give to MonaVie. “I probably spend less than an hour a week in the business, but I did enough four years ago to build a strong foundation to carry us,” Rodney says. “We are still signing up key people, especially since Europe opened up.” For now, the HowardBrownes will continue to travel the world, spreading the word of Jesus... and MonaVie. It was 27 years ago that Joe and Patrice Licciardi met on the Colorado River. Joe was driving a ski boat past a dock with three cute girls waving at him. He turned the boat around and asked who wanted to go for a ski ride. Patrice stood up and her future husband said, “OK, let’s go.” Not long after, Joe, an aspiring body builder, and Patrice bought a nutrition center where they had a juice bar and hosted weight loss and weight gain programs. This was the beginning of a life spent in the health care industry. They went from owning health clubs and fitness centers to selling MonaVie. It seemed like a natural extension of what they were already
doing. There was just one problem: they had never done network marketing before. On the plus side, Joe was used to being in a leadership role. “Because of all of the businesses I’ve had, I’m used to being in that role of leader. This isn’t just about bringing people into the business,” Joe says of MonaVie. “It’s about creating success story after success story.” Creating a Success Story One of Joe’s favorite success stories is that of R3Global Blue Diamond Executives Michael and Robyne Moore. “They are a perfect example of how you can work

This high-energy family is just getting started. “On my vision board I have a card that says, ‘I must finish this race.’ It’s still a journey. I’m a competitive person and I have not yet reached that Crowne Black Diamond level,” Joe says. “This business is about taking it from your head to your heart. From the moment I got results from the product, I knew that this would be the business that would change our lives forever.” TCM
