LIFE IN THE FAST LANE
J
Jason Lyons lives and works at an accelerated pace. Whether it’s a need for speed on one of his four-wheelers or working non-stop at owning his own business — this R3Global Black Diamond likes to live life in the fast lane. At 15, he started a landscaping company. A few decades later, he and wife Carrie became two of the most successful network marketers in the world. Whether it’s a Tasting Party or a motocross event, there’s no slowing down for this couple. An Unlikely Introduction When you’re trying to steer clear of a business opportunity, Black Diamond Executives Bob Robinson and Grayson Maule are not the kind of guys you want to run from. A few years back, one of Jason’s landscaping employees ran over Bob’s mailbox as they were doing clean up from Hurricane Wilma. “That’s how I got acquainted with it the first time,” Jason says of the MonaVie opportunity. “But it wasn’t the right time.” Not long after, Jason ran into Grayson at a building supply store. “It got to the point where I almost started avoiding those guys because I didn’t want to hear about it,” Jason laughs. But there was no escaping these two. One Sunday afternoon, he was about to go golfing with his best friend and fellow R3Global Black Diamond Brian Thayer. “Bob and Grayson showed up at my front door, telling me about this juice and this and that,” he remembers. “I still wasn’t interested.” But when the guys started talking about the financial opportunity and the money they were making, Jason started listening.

Changing Your Tune “It was the financial interest that got my attention, but now it’s the product, the company and the opportunity with the R3Global System. It’s just incredible,” he says. “Coming from a business standpoint, it just made sense. No employees, insurance, no workman’s comp. You can build yourself a residual path of income and help so many people along the way.” Within 10 months, the Lyons reached Black Diamond status, and Jason was able to think about retiring from the landscaping business he had built since his teens. He just wasn’t able to say goodbye to the people that had spent years working hard for him. “I didn’t have the heart to sell the company, so it enabled me to hand my company over to my employees,” he says. More Time for Fun Ever since he was eight years old, Jason’s passion for four-wheeling has been fueled by a need for speed. Before MonaVie, finding time for racing wasn’t in the cards. “Now with my financial freedom and not having that hectic schedule, I have the freedom to pretty much do whatever I want, whenever I want,” Jason says of his
time now spent traveling and competing in the cross-country racing circuit. “It doesn’t take a million dollars a year to be free. For some people it would only take making $50,000 or $100,000 a year. People just need to open their minds to a business like this because it really does make sense.” TCM

A MISSION FOR MORE
F
For years, Grayson Maule volunteered in Youth Ministry — helping raise money to send kids on mission trips overseas.
About nine years ago, he sent himself on a mission trip to Honduras. While there, he couldn’t believe what he saw. “This is where I need to be,” Grayson thought to himself. “These kids have nothing. They don’t even have shoes on their feet. They don’t have shirts on their back. They are living in huts with dirt floors and not much food in their bellies.” After that trip, Honduras became his passion. But with a floundering carpentry business specializing in horse barns and fences, Grayson wasn’t able to commit the time or the funds to help the way he wanted to. Life-Changing Toward the end of 2005, two life-changing things happened in Grayson’s life. First was a mission trip to Peru. While there, he prayed to God for more resources to help the children of South America. Second was Mother Nature. Hurricane Wilma swept across South Florida and took the roof of Bob and Linda Robinson’s barn with it. The Robinsons hired Grayson to fix it and at the same time, introduced
him to MonaVie and the R3Global System. Grayson was wary when his business started taking off, but when he learned about the MORE Project, all fears subsided. “I was really skeptical of the industry. I didn’t want to be a networker because I didn’t understand what it was about, but then I started learning more about the industry and the character of people like Brig Hart,” he says. “I went to a big meeting and Brig was there. I listened and really saw where he was coming from — his heart and how he was wanting to make a difference in the world.” He also heard Dallin talk about the MORE Project. “It was the first time I had ever heard of it,” Grayson remembers. The MORE Project is an acronym for MonaVie Operation REscue. The charity that’s been close to Grayson’s heart is called Operation Rescue the Children. He took the similarity of the names as God telling him he was on the right path and any doubts he had about the company went away. Grayson was now able to completely devote himself to building the business. “I trusted in the leadership, I trusted in the system of R3Global, I trusted in my upline, I trusted in the product AND it worked,” he says. Failure is not an Option It’s been nearly three-and-a-half years since Grayson became involved in the business. It’s the drive to push forward (no matter what) and the ability to drown out the naysayers that have made this R3Global Black Diamond Executive so successful. “Most people think the definition of failure is lack of results,” he says. “My definition is you never fail unless you quit.” TCM

DREAMS COME TRUE
T
The past few years have been pretty surreal for R3Global Black Diamond Executives Ronn and Janice Prpich. As one of Canada’s most successful MonaVie couples, the Prpichs have built a financial future, given hope to a family in South America and even made a few of their own dreams become reality along the way. Married for 18 years, Ronn, a former commercial A/V and home theatre installer, and Jan, who worked in direct sales for a fashion company for 23 years, were introduced to the MonaVie opportunity through good friends. Skeptical at first, the couple enrolled and spent the next few years building one of the most successful network marketing businesses in Canada. Dream Big Dreams It didn’t hurt that they had R3Global Crowne Black Diamond Executives Steve and Gina Merritt in their corner. “It’s just amazing because they live in Lantana, Florida. Here we are like 3,000 miles away and we’ve seen them at least 20 times in the past 26 months that we’ve been building the business,” Jan gushes. “They’ve been a huge inspiration, support and motivation. I’ve always been a dreamer and I thought I was a pretty big dreamer until I met the Merritts and the Harts. They just took my dreaming to a whole new level. They don’t put a ceiling on what’s possible.” While Jan encourages her team to dream, Ronn encourages his team to participate. He insists, “One of the biggest reasons that we’re Black Diamond is because we’ve never missed an R3Global event, we’ll never miss an R3Global event and we promote them heavily.” It’s these events, he says, that fuel the passion to keep going.

A Life-Changing Experience “This last year has been the most surreal experience,” Jan admits. “Our life has changed in so many ways that it’s almost hard to believe that this is our life. We pinch ourselves every morning.” One of those surreal experiences is their recent trip to Brazil. At home in Canada, the Prpichs had been watching a MonaVie film about the MORE Project when a teenager named Juan appeared on the screen. “He looks just like our youngest son Cole,” Ronn says. “When we would watch the video, we would get a lump in our throat,” Jan adds. During the six days they spent in South America, the couple asked MORE Project Brazil Director Sergio Ponce to find him. On a stop in Rio de Janeiro, the Prpichs were
able to meet Juan and see his home — a shack where he lives with his grandmother and eight other grandchildren. “I’ve never experienced that kind of poverty in my life. It was damp, dirty and cold,” Jan remembers. “When we left, Ronn and I — with tears running down our faces — asked Sergio how much to build this family a new home. He said, ‘$15,000’ and we were able to look him in the eyes and say, ‘Done.’” Jan says she tells this story because before having this incredible financial freedom brought by MonaVie and the R3Global Total Support System, they wouldn’t have been able to help Juan. “Broke can’t help broke,” she says. We both did whatever it took to make the business successful. The second big key was Brig — his knowledge of networks and the System that he put together with R3Global.” The Robinsons, who have known Brig Hart for the past 20 years, knew that if they plugged their team members into the step-by-step foolproof marketing System that Brig built, they could not fail.
Living a Lifestyle Bob and Linda say what’s so amazing is not that they have a higher quality of life, but that they have a lifestyle. “For me, everything has totally changed. A SECOND CHANCE
N
Nearly a decade ago, Devon Robinson was in his last year at Florida State University when he received some lifechanging news. He had a tumor the size of a softball resting on his kidney. Instead of taking time off from school, Devon spent his senior year undergoing chemotherapy treatment and staying positive. “I’m one of those people who just wakes up every day in a great mood. My doctor basically said that if I hadn’t discovered that tumor, it would have killed me in two months,” he says. “So because of that, I really thank God that He gave me a second chance.” Devon ended up graduating on time and now, at the age of 31, he’s one of the most successful Black Diamond Executives in R3Global. All In The Family Only a few days after graduating, Devon went straight to work at his family’s wholesale palm tree nursery. Little did he know... there was to be a bright future ahead with an exceptionally special palm — the açai. It was a typical Wednesday when Devon went to visit his aunt and uncle R3Global Black Diamond Executives Bob and Linda Robinson. “That afternoon is when I first saw a bottle of MonaVie sitting on the counter. I thought it was a bottle of red wine,” Devon remembers. Bob and Linda told their nephew that it wasn’t red wine, but in fact a nutritional, allnatural beverage. Their reason for telling him about the product was not because of the business opportunity, but because they thought it might help his health by providing nutritional support. After two weeks of drinking MonaVie, Devon was finally told about the business

opportunity and the R3Global Total Support System — only not by his uncle. One afternoon, his uncle’s friend R3Global Royal Black Diamond Charlie Kalb came knocking. “I was totally excited,” Devon says of his initial reaction. “When I first heard about it, I got it right away. I understood that the most important thing is to have quality of life. I knew that everybody could enjoy this product.” A Natural Extension MonaVie seemed like a natural extension of what Devon was already doing — harvesting palm trees for the peace and wellness of others. He just didn’t realize the amazing impact it would have for the
people around him. “It’s not only changed my life, it’s changed my family’s lives,” he says of the new-found time and financial freedom he’s been blessed with. “I never took one day off of work until my uncle called me and told me that I had made half of my previous year’s salary in one week and that it was OK to take a break.” Not that Devon has much free time these days, but when he can steal a few moments away, he likes to tend to the 20,000 or so açai palms he’s been growing in his dad’s nursery for the past few years or spend time on the 100-acre blueberry farm he just helped his family buy. “This is a business that can change people’s lives,” he says. Success and Self-Confidence Go Hand in Hand Although Stephanie wasn’t on board with the MonaVie and R3Global business opportunity initially, it didn’t take long for her to warm to the idea. “I always thought of network marketing as us spending money to obtain a product to try to sell to someone else,” she says. “But I think that was all in God’s plan to grow me.” The Smiths were the fourth couple to reach Black Diamond status. Always the introvert, Stephanie explains that it took her a while to set aside her insecurities and to feel that she deserved to be up on the stage at major R3Global events with the rest of the Black Diamond Executives. She found good in the nutritional super juice as she started to discover a genuine self-confidence in herself. “We’re here to do something good for others,” Stephanie says. “In order to really do this business, you have to take the focus off yourself and put it on other people.” So what’s next for Todd and Stephanie Smith? Todd and Stephanie Smith know a lot about second chances — both in love and in livelihood. Over a decade ago, Stephanie was going through a tough divorce. You know, damsel in distress,” Stephanie jokes of meeting Todd for the first time. She says she immediately noticed Todd’s kindness toward her youngest son Jacob, and so she asked him out on a date. After eight years of marriage, the couple is busy raising five kids and working a successful MonaVie business fueled by the tools of R3Global. While Todd has always taken his job as provider seriously, he says he never really understood what that role meant. Jacqueline Thayer jokes that when she met her husband as a teenager in high school, she was initially attracted to him for one simple reason. He had a job. “Anything that Brian could get his hands on to be an entrepreneur, he did,” she says referring to the lawn care business he started at age 16. While the Thayer’s love blossomed (marriage and four daughters followed), so did their lawn and landscaping business. Another Venture Six years ago they had over 45 employees when they decided to start another venture. They joined Brian’s best friend and fellow R3Global Black
Diamond Jason Lyons in a hurricane clean up business. “Hurricane Wilma hit in South Florida and that’s when MonaVie became involved in our lives,” Jacqueline says. During a routine clean-up, one of their employees ran over Black Diamond Bob Robinson’s mailbox. Bob didn’t spend much effort worrying about the mailbox. Instead, he told Brian and Jason about the MonaVie opportunity. The best friends weren’t interested at all. It took Jason over six months (and a lot of prodding from Bob) to enroll. Brian followed shortly after. Once he did, the Thayers started building their business at record speed. “I was interested in an opportunity
that could help make us an extra $500 per week,” Jacqueline says. Brian began carrying a cooler of fruit juice in his truck, sharing the opportunity with everybody and anybody he came in contact with. Within weeks, they started getting phone calls back from people saying they wanted more. “After our first week in this business, we were already getting paid on our purple Visa card,” Jacqueline remembers. “I was ecstatic that there was a credit card that owed us money and we didn’t owe it money — yay!” Staying Excited The Thayers will admit that in the beginning they didn’t know much about the product and they certainly didn’t understand the compensation plan. But they stayed excited, worked as a team, and kept an infectious enthusiasm for the business. “If the lawn guy and his wife, who barely made it out of high school, can build a business and make a million dollars a year just sharing fruit juice with people, everybody can do it,” Jacqueline jokes. Just one other thing — you need to tap into the R3Global Total Support System. “You have to keep yourself duplicatable, follow the M.A.P. Book and don’t deviate from the System — follow your leaders,” she advises. “This is an activity-based business,” Brian adds. “We have choices to do what we want to do, but we’re actively building the business because we want to help other people.” They’ve already been able to help Brian’s brother and cousin gain financial freedom, but the couple won’t stop until they’ve helped everyone they love. Tim Wilson’s life changed the day he met Brig and Lita Hart, he just didn’t know it yet. It was the late ‘90s and their sons became fast friends while playing on the same soccer team in North Carolina. The parents built a relationship not long after. With the Harts’ former success in network marketing, the friends started talking about finding a new venture. Tim had always worked in a family-run electronics business and he knew the importance of building relationships. He also knew the headaches that came along with traditional business — inventory shortages, employee issues, debt and overhead. “We started thinking about how the network marketing industry could really positively change people’s lives,” Tim explains. “What we discovered was that you had to create a venue where people could grow and leaders could develop by taking responsibility for their own success while providing them with an opportunity for financial gain.” So Tim was put in charge of researching liquid fruit products — the new buzz in the health and wellness industry — and he came across MonaVie.

These guys knew they were stewards of the product, the opportunity, and more importantly the distributor base.” When Tim and the Harts returned to the East Coast, they did their due diligence and learned that it was an incredible product. They knew people would be attracted to the convenience and nutritional benefits of a liquid fruit, so in January 2005 they helped launch the MonaVie product. Building People vs. Building a Business “It has been an exciting, wild ride from the very first day,” Tim says. “For me personally, it’s all about helping people change their life spiritually, financially, physically and doing it in a way that will have a positive impact on their family for generations to come.” He says it’s always been his passion to build leaders through helping them understand Christian principles. He just didn’t feel a calling until this opportunity came along. “I guess this is when it started to click for me,” Tim says. “I was able to connect the possibilities of networking with my real passion — building people. It was more about building people than it was about building a business. In reality, you will never have long-term success if you don’t have a way to build people.” A way that would later become the R3Global Total Support System. TCM

making a difference MAKING A DIFFERENCE
by Paul Zink

ecoming a success means different things to different people. To each individual this may vary and take on many beautiful and different forms. I believe that in everyone’s mind they have a great desire to make a difference in their generation; not just within their family, but also within their community at large. Nobody can live in isolation. God created us to be creatures who thrive on interactivity with each other. To make a real difference with your life, you must give of yourself and invest in the greater good with those whom you have developed a meaningful relationship.
Most of you reading this article are part of a thriving business that has reenergized you by giving you a financial opportunity that could dissolve the limitations of your life. The question is: what are you going to do with the success that you developed through hard work and through becoming proactive with your life? It is easy to get caught up in the materialistic thinking that possessions will bring happiness. The reality is, God has created us in such a way that inner fulfillment can only come through being a blessing to others. It is very difficult, if not impossible, for those who live in need to become a blessing to anyone.
Paul Zink is the pastor of New Life Christian Fellowship in Jacksonville, Florida. New Life’s vision is to have an impact on the families in their community by providing excellence in ministry with an emphasis on evangelism, missions and birthing new churches.

Some years ago, I felt called to teach on the subject of “The Power of Legacy.” In my study and research, I came to the conclusion that the ultimate goal for every individual is to leave a positive legacy which will impact the next generation. There is a seed of destiny placed by the Divine One in every person. Until that destiny is accepted and realized, there remains an annoying discontent that resides in the innermost chambers of the soul that can never be quenched. Some believe it should be enough simply to be a child of God, but this seed of destiny placed by God within each of us continues to call out to be satisfied. This calling is so deeply embedded in the soul that it becomes the dominant driving force of one’s life. I am here for a purpose. The question is: why am I here? For those who live unconscious of God’s design, life is reduced to merely an attempt to satisfy their unfulfilled heart. In most instances, this is through the accumulation of possessions and experiences that tantalize the physical senses. Every believer who has ever lived (including you) has a role to play in God’s eternal plan. Some have failed, but His plan is eternal and is passed on to the next generation for completion. Your life is a script that others will follow. Every life has a redemptive purpose. Wisdom comes from viewing your life as a mission for God. What can you do to play a positive role in the lives of other people? The truth is you can serve as a catalyst to impregnate others with visions for their lives. How you use your time determines your level of maturity. I have watched my friends Brig and Lita Hart become not only visionaries for their own personal lives, but take it upon themselves to lead in such a way that they affect the lives of everyone around them. They have sought to build a life of worth, more than wealth. They are not looking for the applause of men, but the applause of heaven. In turn, you also must “seek to build a life of worth more than wealth.” TCM

Be aware of how you prioritize and spend your time. What I’ve learned to do is invest my time where I get the best return. Your value system determines your priorities — God, Family, Country and Business. In the fourth priority (business) there are things that you need to prioritize — things that you say are the most important. Don’t let the menial or the immediate interrupt the important. SEEKING GOD, DEVELOPING FINANCIAL FREEDOM AND HELPING OTHERS TO DO THE SAME ARE SOME OF THE TOP REASONS R3GLOBAL DISTRIBUTORS ARE INVOLVED IN RELATIONAL MARKETING, BUT MOST WILL TELL YOU... THE INCENTIVE REWARDS AREN’T BAD EITHER. It’s true — distributors already enjoy a generous compensation plan*, but it’s the “extras” that really get them building their business. From exotic trips to luxury cars to cash bonuses to lavish jewelry, MonaVie knows how to spoil the top earners of R3Global. The higher the rank, the more luxurious the rewards...
TAKING THE HIGH ROAD
Have you ever dreamed of driving an exotic luxury automobile or jet setting to your next destination on a private corporate jet? Relational marketing, with the help of the R3Global Total Support System, can make all of your wildest dreams come true — on or off the road. Once you reach Black Diamond, MonaVie will reward you with a brand-new black Mercedes (any model you desire). Janice Prpich, a R3Global Black Diamond Executive from Pitt Meadows, British
Columbia, Canada, says she dreamed of owning a Mercedes sports car since she was 19. “It’s almost unreal,” she exclaims of the new luxury automobile sitting in her driveway. Looking for something a little more extravagant? Once you reach Crowne Black Diamond, you can have your choice of one of five magnificent cars — a Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, Lamborghini or Maserati. So far, there have been only two couples (both R3Global Distributors!) to receive one — Steve and Gina Merritt and Brig and Lita Hart. The Merritts chose an active lime green Lamborghini Murcielago while the Harts opted for the pearl orange one.
COME FLY WITH ME

Black Diamond, you have the chance to earn jet credits — good towards the use of MonaVie’s private corporate jet. R3Global Presidential Black Diamond Holly Roush calls it an experience of a lifetime. “You cannot imagine what it is like to walk up to a flight, board and take off. You don’t have to be there an hour early, no security; you just take off,” she says. “It is truly traveling in style.”
THE HIGH SEAS
Prefer spending your time on the open ocean? For Imperial Black Diamond Executives and above, MonaVie offers your choice of one of the 100-plus foot private luxury yachts. Seven activity-filled days of being pampered by the Captain, having stewards at your service, and enjoying meals prepared by your very own personal chef. R3Global Double Crowne Black Diamond Executives Brig and Lita Hart and Steve and Gina Merritt joined Dallin and Karree Larsen aboard MonaVie’s 1st Inaugural “Imperial Awards Yacht Trip” on “Le Reve” (“The Dream” in French). The couples left the port in Newport, RI and traveled to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard over the 4th of July Holiday. “It was a week of adventure and relaxation filled with fun, food, family and friends,” Brig says. “We were absolutely spoiled as we savored the precious moments together for this special awards trip.” On the 2nd Imperial Yacht Trip, Steve and Gina Merritts’ voyage aboard the 122-foot “Savannah” took them and the Harts to the BVI (British Virgin Islands) in January of 2010.
BLACK DIAMOND DESTINATION
What’s better than being able to afford a fun-filled family vacation or exotic couple’s retreat? Being given one for free. The Black Diamond Celebration treats Black Diamond distributors to lavish and relaxing trips around the globe. In 2008, R3Global leaders sailed the Mediterranean on a two-week long cruise that included stops in Spain, France, Italy, and Greece. In 2009, the Total Support System visited the Emerald Isle with stops at the Cliffs of Moher, Gap of Dunloe, and the Ring of Kerry. “I love Ireland!” Black Diamond Executive Kathleen Deggelman exclaims of visiting the homeland of her great-grandparents. “It was a great trip.” MonaVie is outdoing itself with Black Diamond Celebration 2010 — a trip to Tahiti with accommodations at the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora this coming April. 84 | VOLUME 1 ISSUE 1
A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH For R3Global Diamond Executives, the exciting Diamond Destination is a great time to kick back, unwind and enjoy the fruits of your labor. MonaVie rewards the qualified Diamond Executives and above with all-expenses-paid, fun-filled vacations and getaways. In 2008, Diamonds delighted on a week-long cruise through the Caribbean, with stops in Antigua, Puerto Rico, and St. Maarten. In 2009, hundreds of Diamonds traveled to the five-star Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa in Maui, Hawaii. Everyone had so much fun at last year’s Maui trip that this year’s Diamond Destination will be held on the same beautiful Hawaiian island and five-star resort. Team R3Global wants everyone to be there, so if you haven’t done so, sign up for R3Global’s Maui MonaVie Diamond Run 2010 (more info on page 48).
RUBY FLY-IN
Haven’t quite reached Diamond status? Don’t worry. You won’t be left out in the cold. MonaVie Ruby-level distributors and above are awarded a fun-filled Ruby Fly-In — an all-expenses paid trip to the five-star Zermatt Resort in the Wasatch Mountains of Midway, Utah. There, distributors will be given special recognition for their well-earned achievement by some of MonaVie’s top executives while sampling the area’s special activities such as world-class skiing, golfing, fly-fishing, spa treatments and much more.

MonaVie rewards its’ elite Double Crowne Black Diamonds with luxury vacations and world tours that are truly once-in-a-lifetime adventures. Have you ever wanted to go on an African safari, visit China’s Forbidden City or cruise down the Rhine River? MonaVie is
helping make those travel dreams come true with its’ new Double Crowne Black Diamond Exotic Destinations program. For distributors in this new and elite status, they may choose from one of five oncein-a-lifetime excursions as part of the Exotic Destinations program. “The hardest part will be choosing just one,” says MonaVie Director of Global Rewards and Recognition Alec Clark. Oriental Discovery - Seven days to explore the mysteries of China World’s Best Safari - 12 days in South Africa Golfer’s Dream - Seven days in Scotland Rhine River - Eight-day all-inclusive cruise Alps Excursion - Seven days in Switzerland As if one of these five fabulous trips weren’t enough, MonaVie rewards these elite Double Crowne Black Diamonds each a $2 Million cash bonus for their achievement. What’s better than $2 Million? Three Million — the cash bonus awarded to Triple Crowne Black Diamonds. Once you reach this, MonaVie’s highest distributor level, you’ve earned yourself a seat on the single-most luxurious, extravagant incentive trip that’s ever been offered in the direct selling industry — a trip into outer space! That’s why it’s appropriate when Clark says, “MonaVie takes you in, around and out of this world!” TCM

get innovative
GETINNOVATIVE:SETTHERIGHTGOALS! by Dr. Myles Munroe
E
veryone in the world is a goal setter in one way or another. Even people who may be considered unsuccessful in life set goals that cause them to fail. The alcoholic, even though he has brought himself to a tragic state in life, worked at it—every day that he had a drink. This principle applies to all humans. We fail to set goals to accomplish the things we want to achieve. We keep being who we are, but we desire to be something else. Why? We do not create a path to our desired destination. If you desire to be an innovative leader in life, you must do the things that set you apart from the follower. Innovative leaders distinguish themselves from followers by setting pre-established goals. They live life effectively because they create life; your life should not just happen. Innovative leaders do not allow life to live them. THEY LIVE LIFE! If you are aware of the set destination at which you want to arrive, then it is time to plot your way there. Get innovative by setting the RIGHT goals. What is innovation? Innovation is the capacity to create new approaches and concepts to deal with old and new challenges. It is the perceptivity to see possibilities in the combination of old and new concepts. In other words, you have to be able to think in new ways. Why is innovation important? Our world is in crisis. Many people are feeling the effects of economic hardship. Hardship and trials of all kinds are common to life. Furthermore, everybody makes mistakes. Do not be afraid if your plans are disrupted; your purpose and destiny are permanent. You may have come to a roadblock or detour that is financial, physical, spiritual, professional or emotional. Do not give up! Crisis makes you an excellent candidate for innovative thinking! You can still achieve your dream of success. So where do you want to go? Do you have a clear vision of the place where you want to be in life or the level of accomplishment at which you want to arrive? The difference between WRONG and RIGHT goals is based on your destination. Wrong goals lead to wrong destinations. Right goals are the clear markers that will take you where you want
R3Global Teacher, Dr. Munroe, speaking at R3Global’s Leadership conference in Dallas, Texas in 2009.
to go. Are you ready to get innovative? Do you want your company to grow or your department to expand? Do you need to build or improve a leadership team? The following are five keys to planning: Determine your destiny. Where do you want to be next year or in ten years? Identify and establish your goals. What is it going to take for you to get there? Prioritize your goals. Arrange your list in the order of priority. Organize your goals. Organize the diverse dimensions of your life according to your goals. Discipline decisions by your goals. Follow your goals by making decisions that favor your steps to success. Goals are incremental measures of ultimate progress. Your ultimate progress will take place at the end of your dream, but goals are incremental. Where you are right now is dependent on the goals you have set and the ones you did not. I encourage you not to be discouraged by crisis, setbacks, obstacles or even the need for expansion. Tap into your inherent, innovative talent and begin to believe that all things are possible. Follow the list of principles included with this article to help you identify the RIGHT goals for your life and to shape within yourself the
goal-driven attitude that make true leaders successful. It is time to get innovative and set the right goals for the fulfillment of your ultimate purpose. TCM

“ t was a really great experience to go over there and ride,” 16-year-old pro wakeboarder Raimi Merritt says of her October 2009 upset win at the IWSF Wakeboard World Cup Championship in Liuzhou, China. Raimi is the youngest daughter of R3Global Crowne Black Diamonds Steve, a former World Champion Barefoot Water Skier, and Gina Merritt, a retired Delta Air Lines Flight Attendant. “Going into the World Cup competition, I was riding pretty good — getting more consistent in everything I was doing. But some of the other girls were riding great all year,” she says. “I went to China kind of expecting to get maybe top three or top four; because of the water conditions — you have to be good at riding in the rough water as well as the calm water. It’s also tough traveling to different time zones and eating food you are not used to. The conditions in China were rough. I pulled it together and won!” At age 4, Raimi learned how to water ski from her dad Steve. At age 9, she traded in skis for a wakeboard. At 11, she
I can use it as a tool to change other kids’ lives who might not have heard the good news of Jesus Christ,” Raimi explains. Raimi also attends the Sunday worship services offered on the Pro Tour. She volunteers and gives her personal testimony. Aside from great sponsors, Raimi is blessed with an amazing family. Her parents Steve and Gina are one of the top relational marketing sales teams in the country. Financially, they are able to hire some of the best coaches like her Wakeboard Coach Mike Ferraro. “If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be able to do what I’m doing right now,” she says. Raimi’s older sister Mia also helps out. They live together in Orlando and travel around the world from competition to competition. Her sister Chloe encourages her and travels to tournaments with her as well. Merritt is excited about her accomplishments in 2009 but is not stopping there. She has learned from her parents that once you reach a goal you need to find another dream to fight for and go for it. Raimi is training harder than ever and can’t wait for the 2010 season. She has personally experienced success from the MonaVie product and the opportunity her parents took advantage of just 4 years ago. She encourages everyone to make a run for Diamond and beyond so they can reap the rewards from MonaVie and the R3Global Support System like her family has experienced. In 2007, Raimi captured all of the major girls’ division wakeboard titles. Since then, she’s become one of wakeboarding’s fastest-rising stars, competing around the world from Qatar to Egypt to Mexico to Russia. She was recently awarded 2009 Pro Women’s Wakeboard Rider of the Year. Raimi is a Christian and gives God all the credit for her success. rofessional golfer and R3Global Black Diamond Executive Bo Van Pelt was six years old when he started playing golf. “I slowly started getting better and better at it,” he remembers of the formative years. It wasn’t until middle school that the Indiana native realized he wanted to try his hand at making a living by golfing. “I played through high school and then was able to go to Oklahoma State, where we were ranked number one in the country . . . and then I joined the tour,” Bo says of the easy transition that took him from teenager to PGA pro.
It may just be a coincidence, but the past few years have seen Bo’s best golfing. This past summer, he had the best finish of his career — a first place victory at the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee. “I shot a 64 the last day and won in the playoffs,” he says of his first win in 289 tournaments. Bo currently ranks 34th in scoring average on the PGA Tour and is having the best year of his career. Since becoming a MonaVie distributor and R3Global supporter, Bo has been sharing the nutritional beverage on tour. “There are a bunch of caddies and tour officials who are into MonaVie. As far as the PGA players, they really enjoy the EMV,” he says of the new energy drink. It’s unsure whether Bo’s playing has been directly improved by drinking the juice, but either way... we’re glad to have such a winner on the R3Global team!
“There are a bunch of caddies and tour officials who are into MonaVie. As far as the PGA players, they really enjoy the EMV.” For the Van Pelt family, Bo’s becoming a pro athlete wasn’t totally out of the ordinary. His father Bob was a fifth-round NFL draft pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in 1967. “He understood a lot about athletics. He didn’t know a ton about golf, but he knew about the fundamentals of athletics,” Bo says of his dad. “My parents were always great about giving me opportunities and being supportive. I probably wouldn’t have made it had they not been as supportive as they were.” A pro golfer since the early 2000s, the Oklahoma resident travels about 30 weeks out of the year — eating most of his meals on the road. Since being introduced to MonaVie by his good friend R3Global Blue Diamond Brion McLaughlin in the fall of 2005, Bo says he feels better with the purple super juice in his life. “Just knowing that I’m putting something that highquality into my body on a day-to-day basis has really helped me,” he says. R3G Black Diamond Bo Van Pelt lines up his putt on the seventeenth hole.

29-year-old South African native and 2009’s MonaVie EMV-sponsored IndyCar Series racer is the son of 1979 Formula One champion Jody Scheckter and nephew of former F1 competitor Ian Scheckter. This past year, Tomas had an impressive IndyCar season behind the wheel of the turquoise and black MonaVie car. Driving the No. 19 car, he qualified 26th and finished 12th at the 93rd Annual Indianapolis 500 and continued the season in the No. 43 and No. 23 MonaVie EMV cars with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing. Treasure Chest Magazine caught up with Tomas to chat about his MonaVie sponsorship, his favorite product and drinking EMV on the road: Birthday: Pin Level: Hometown: Residence: Current Rank: 2009 Starts: 2009 Top 10:
TCM: You used the product before being sponsored by MonaVie. Tell us about that.
Tomas Scheckter preparing for the Indianapolis 500.
TS: About two years ago, I was feeling sluggish and tired a lot. My ex-girlfriend came back from California and said, “Oh, you need to try this MonaVie.” Eventually I started using it and felt more energetic right away. I was able to start training again and getting fit for being back in the car. I spend maybe six days a week in the gym training because I have to keep in peak physical condition to be in the car. It’s extremely stressful on your body. I needed to be well. I started taking MonaVie and it made a big difference.

TCM: Are you spending any time building the business side? TS: Yeah, I am. I didn’t even think of the possibility of me doing it as a business for over a year-and-a-half. Now, I’m trying to help people build the business. Being more in the limelight with MonaVie and being a spokesperson, I suppose I want to help other people and speak to their possible prospects about what’s happened to me. That’s more of what I want to do. Obviously, I would love one day to become a Black Diamond, but at the moment I’m fully into my racing career and I’ve got to focus 100 percent on that. I give it to some friends and family who show interest in it, but really my goal is to spread the word about MonaVie and to help other people build their businesses.
Sept. 21, 1980 Star 1000 Cape Town, South Africa Indianapolis 20th 11 3
TS: This was about a year ago. I normally have MonaVie in my motorhome, but it was sent off to get repairs, so I rented a different motorhome while I was in Texas. I started feeling like I needed to recharge my body. I got really worried because I had to race in a couple of days, so I called my assistant and I told her, “You gotta find me MonaVie.” So she called around, managed to find it and had it delivered to me quickly. That explains how much I believe in the product.
Photograph by: BRET KELLEY
TCM: Do you have any interesting anecdotes about using MonaVie?
Tomas Scheckter competing at the Indianapolis 500.
TCM: Do you attend meetings and events? TS: I do. I go to quite a few meetings in Indianapolis and I’ve recruited a few distributors. I think the great thing with MonaVie is that it’s not only a product, but it teaches me a lot of life skills as well. I think you learn a lot of life lessons at these meetings.
Photograph by: SHAWN PAYNE
TCM: Have you introduced MonaVie to other racers?
Tomas Scheckter concentrating on the race ahead of him.
TCM: Tell me about this year’s Indianapolis 500 experience. TS: We were in a position where we had to do second-week qualifying, which means that we had to qualify in the second half of the grid. It came down to Bump Day — if you’re not very familiar with Indy, it’s getting down to the last couple of spots to get you in the field for the Indianapolis 500. It was a pretty nerve-racking moment and we managed to qualify the quickest of the day. To have the MonaVie support is like no other sponsor — there is so much energy around. I managed to make my way up to 12th position and bring the car home after 500 miles. I was really proud at Indy and really happy to have MonaVie on my car.
TCM: What’s your favorite product? TS: I love the energy drink [EMV]. Actually, I use it in my racecar. We have an electronic drinks tube that goes into our mouth and we’ve got a button on the steering wheel that we push, for long races like Indy where you’re in the car for three or four hours and you mentally have to stay on top of your game. Physically, the energy drink is perfect. It has no preservatives, natural sugars and it’s not like it gives me a peak where I get all jumpy and start doing erratic things on the track. It’s perfect for in the car. TCM: What was it like coming from a racing family? TS: I suppose it’s in my blood. It’s what I love to do. I understand the industry quite a bit. Although, my father was racing in an era where it was extremely dangerous. When I was younger and growing up, he was really against me racing. He had seen the worst side of driving... but at the end of the day, he knew that racing was in my blood and it prevailed. I’m lucky enough right now to have a profession from it. Pit crew servicing the race car during a pit stop.
Photograph by: LEIGH SPARGUR
TCM: Tell me a little bit more about being sponsored by MonaVie. TS: It’s been a bit crazy — especially how we met with MonaVie people down at the track. Someone just said, “Hey! I’m from MonaVie.” And I said, “Oh. That’s a great product!” And we started chatting about it and then there was an opportunity for them to be on a car with me, which is a dream come true. I suppose a lot of times we have sponsors or endorsements that your manager finds and you’re speaking about a product that you’ve never seen or used before. To have MonaVie, a product that you endorse and that’s on your racecar which you not only use, but love and believe in, is remarkable. It makes it so much easier to talk about the product.
TS: I don’t want to. I think I’ve got an advantage [laughs]. They ask me what MonaVie is and I just walk away [laughs]. No, I do. To be completely honest, there are drivers that knock on my motorhome door, come in, get some MonaVie and leave. I’ve got the gel packs and there are a couple of guys that come and say, “Hey, Tomas. Can I grab some MonaVie?” I say, “Yup.” They just grab a gel pack or two and leave.

CONNIE RICCIARDI Most recently, we’ve seen monumental success with Al and Sherry Huva from Kelowna, British Columbia, who just reached the prestigious Hawaiian Blue Diamond status. The Huvas attribute their success to Steve and Gina’s (their sponsors) unwavering encouragement (even from 4,000 miles away!) and the support tools of R3G like motivational and inspirational books and CDs and, of course, events. We’re also proud to mention that David and Falia Ledoux of Ontario have gone Diamond since R3Global’s Diamond Run 2010 took MonaVie by storm.
Today, Canada is one of the fastest-growing countries for MonaVie. Why? Because of R3Global’s hard-working, passionate and committed distributors. There are more distributors in Canada following the R3Global Total Support System than in any other country outside of the United States. And they have more distributors attending the R3Global Events than any other international country.
Easily the most exciting success story to come out of The Great White North would be that of R3Global’s newest and most recent Black Diamonds Ronn and Jan Prpich from Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. They recently hosted a Toronto BBS (Business Building Seminar) that sold out in less than a week! The Prpichs have proven that anyone can build this business — even a retired direct saleswoman and former commercial A/V and home theatre installer with no relational marketing experience. Jan explains, “We have not missed a conference. The R3Global conferences are one of the biggest reasons that we’ve enjoyed such great success. You get something from those conferences that you just can’t get from anywhere else.”
Just this past December, Double Crowne Black Diamonds Brig and Lita Hart, and Crowne Black Diamonds Steve and Gina Merritt headed to Vancouver for an R3G SOTT (Super Open Teaching and Training) where they were greeted by so many enthusiastic Canadians, it was standing room only! Steve explains, “The reason why the Canadians are having such great success is because they’ve committed to the R3Global Support System. The three keys are: read 15 to 30 minutes out of a positive book, listen to a CD every day and participate at all of the R3Global Sponsored Events.”
With the remarkable success Canada is having, R3Global has chosen to use it to serve as the model for international relational marketing — worldwide. Steve says, “When you’re building your MonaVie business, you need to build locally to be profitable and you need to think globally. Use the Grid, Matrix, and Infrastructure to send your people to meetings around the world so that you can take full advantage of the R3Global System.” Canada is just the first of many countries around the globe to experience prosperity, spirituality, better health and a renewed sense of excitement with MonaVie and the R3Global System!

The MonaVie Brazilian Corporate office is located in Sao Paulo and headed up by directors Eduardo Frayha and Mauricio Patrocino. R3Global’s support level in Brazil has been very good, and obviously Brazil is home to the açai berry and the MORE Project so it has a special place in the heart of all of MonaVie and it’s distributors. New Ruby Executive Rodrigo Seixtas is plugged into the R3Global System, and doing well. Also, Hooke Lopes is a big proponent of the R3Global System, and is doing a great job in Northern Brazil. Antonio Brasileiro, Brazil’s first Diamond, made the trip to TPC this year and is now promoting the R3G system on his way to Blue Diamond and beyond. In January 2010, Orlando and Susie Puyol made a 10-day, 8-city tour in Brazil to help get things kicked off for R3Global and MonaVie in Brazil. Brazil’s emerging economy and strong culture and history of MLM (Multi Level Marketing), have the country poised for huge growth in 2010.

Australia has seen a nice surge in business in the latter half of 2009 for R3Global, and we see it as an area of future growth. Just a little more than a year ago, R3G opened for business in Australia, and since then sales have grown steadily. Blue Diamonds Rob and Nicky Horkings are the new Directors in Australia for R3Global, and have done a tremendous job building their business and promoting R3G. Rob and Nicky live in Queensland, Australia, and are well on their way to reaching Black Diamond status. Diamond Executive Jo Marshall is also doing a great job building the business in Australia. R3Global has a website and store which are both going through an overhaul in the first few months of the year to provide a better experience for customers going forward. In the year 2010, R3Global expects to conduct 4-6 major events including one Dream Day-type event in Australia. Make sure to sign up for the Australia/ New Zealand email newsletter to stay up-to-date. The Diamond Runner program is gaining numbers in Australia, so there are many Diamonds in the making in the land down-under. The Harts and the Larsens have also planned trips to Australia in May of 2010 which are sure to get the locals there FIRED UP!

Things are really heating up in the UK with recent visits from Brig Hart, David Ledoux, Kathleen Deggelman and Joey Michals in early 2010. Steve and Gina Merritt came to the UK in late 2009, followed by Shawn and Chrystal Lyons in December. The excitement level is really strong and growing in the UK. R3Global has been hosting weekly conference calls on Mondays at 4pm EST for the UK that have been very positive and helpful to all in attendance. Guest speakers have included Brig Hart, Steve Merritt, David Ledoux, Brian Conroy, Kathleen Deggelman and Matt Hammond, who is a Ruby Executive about to go Diamond in the UK. These calls have provided good insights, leadership, training and inspiration to all. We have two planned events in the UK in the first three months of 2010, with lots of momentum building toward those events. Work has begun to provide a conduit for people in the UK to easily acquire the tools and training materials they need to build their businesses. All systems are a go in the UK, and it looks like people there are making it happen. Who will be the next Diamond to break out in the UK? It won’t be long before we find out!

Israel is one of the most interesting countries on the international scene. At the TPC event in January, over 25 people came from Israel to witness for themselves what R3Global and MonaVie are all about. “It was a life-changing experience,” said Ido Aronson. It’s safe to say that our friends from Israel went back with a new belief in what is possible in their own country. The Promised Land looks like a place where there is much excitement and enthusiasm building, and a country where MonaVie and R3Global are poised to do well. Ido Aronson and Ronen Triffon are helping to lead the way for R3Global and helped to coordinate Brig Hart’s first official visit in February. Ido has been working hard to translate some of our basic tools into Hebrew and Russian for the people of Israel. The nation of Israel is building on a solid foundation, and the future looks bright. We will definitely see Diamonds emerging from Israel in 2010!

Hong Kong is open for business. This fast-paced Chinese city (it means “Fragrant Harbor” in English) just opened up for distribution and will quickly become a massive hub for the growing Asian market. On Monday, March 8th, 2010, Steve and Gina Merritt hosted a SOTT event there. “Everyone’s excited about the potential of such a huge business in Hong Kong!” Steve says of going to support their team. With a population of over 7 million people, Hong Kong is one of the most densely-populated areas of the world. The sky’s the limit!

MonaVie just announced some exciting news. This year, we will start business in Malaysia, a beautiful country in Southeast Asia, located on the South China Sea. We are currently in the prelaunch stage, so now is an amazing time to start building your business and getting the word out about the financial, spiritual and healthful benefits of MonaVie. On March 6th, R3Global Crowne Black Diamonds Steve and Gina Merritt hosted a BBS in the region. “This was the kickoff of MonaVie in Malaysia,” Steve said of the event. “The Malaysians were so excited. They’re so fired up!”

Our friends in Mexico are gearing up to be the next North American country to make it big in MonaVie. Most recently, we had the support of some Diamond Runners from our friends to the South at this year’s R3Global TPC in Orlando, FL. Mexico is open for business, and now offers an amazing opportunity to become a pioneer and begin building your team internationally. Crowne Black Diamond Steve Merritt’s tips to succeed? “Take ownership of your business, plug into the Support System and attend the major functions to create the momentum.”
