COMMUNITY Boca Raton Regional Hospital Selects Baptist Health South Florida as Strategic Partner

Officials at Boca Raton Regional Hospital today announced that its Board of Trustees has selected Baptist Health South Florida as its recommendation for further strategic partnership discussions. The move culminates with an initiative that began over one year ago to accelerate and elevate the Hospital’s position as a preeminent academic tertiary referral center in South Florida. “We are pleased with the Board’s decision to move forward with Baptist,” said Jerry Fedele, President and CEO of Boca Raton Regional Hospital. “While this was a most difficult choice, one that was between two of the finest healthcare providers in the country, our Trustees believe Baptist is the best fit for Boca Regional.” The process to secure a strategic partner for Boca Regional was spearheaded by the Ad Hoc Partnership Steering Committee and was comprised of community and medical staff leaders, trustees and volunteers. Chaired by Dick Schmidt, former Boca Regional Board Chair and noted civic leader and philanthropist, it was responsible for vetting 12 potential partner proposals, winnowing down the list of suitors based on stringent criteria and advancing recommendations to the Boca Regional Board for final discussion and decision.

Assessment of partner candidates included site visits between the respective organizations and robust dialogue and meetings between medical staff leadership, senior executives, Board members and volunteers. According to Schmidt, the Committee found great synergy with Baptist from a programmatic perspective and strategic approach to the delivery of care in South Florida. “We are most confident we can reach a final agreement and that our inclusion in the Baptist System will make the whole of the new organization greater than the sum of its parts,” he said. Next steps in the initiative will include completion of due diligence and the negotiation of a letter of intent that would frame the completion of definitive agreements prior to Boca Regional joining the Baptist organization. “We stand on the cusp of making a monumental transformation for Boca Raton Regional Hospital, a transformation that will serve to secure and cement our role as a top-tier healthcare provider for our community and our region,” said Christine E. Lynn, Boca Regional Board Chair. “I thank our Steering Committee for the critically important role they played in the partnership process and our Board for its thoughtful stewardship of the Hospital.”

FAU Team Places In Top Three At International Submarine Race The Florida Atlantic University College of Engineering and Computer Science (COECS) Human-Powered Submarine (HPS) team placed third overall at the fourth biennial European International Submarine Race (eISR) at Haslar in Gosport, England. The race is a unique sporting and engineering challenge which involve teams from universities across the world designing, building and racing humanpowered submarines around a slalom course at QinetiQ’s Ocean Basin, one of the world’s largest indoor freshwater tanks. The team’s submarine, HPS Atlantic, was designed specifically for the slalom section of the eISR course and was named the most maneuverable vessel in the field. Its directional thrust system, in which a flexible joint in the propeller shaft allowed the propeller to be pointed off-axis, removed the need for a drag-inducing rudder and allowed their experienced pilot to rip through the tight turns of the challenging slalom course and on to victory on the last day of the main competition. It also landed them the coveted BMT Award for Innovation. “I could not be more pleased with how our team performed,” said Michael Denny, FAU HPS team president.

“We showed off just how innovative and prepared FAU engineering students and computer science are, and we had a blast doing it. None of it would have been possible without the support from our university and our sponsors.” Along with Denny, the FAU team members that attended the competition included Declan Depietro, Dan Luvisi, Ryan Fisher, Ryan Kwaterski, Mackenzie Smith, Remy Komocsin and Wyatt Van Meter. The team also was guided by Fred Knapp, FAU senior lab teaching instructor, and Anthony LaVigne, team adviser and FAU machinist. Active team members that did not attend the race include Jesse Schreck, Will Foster, Carlton Jones, George Albrecht, Natalia Linares, Spencer Ellis, Jake Joers, Jake Lamoureux, Steve Roberts, Richard Cook, and Yun Ni. “I am very proud of our HPS team,” said Stella Batalama, Ph.D., dean of FAU’s College of Engineering and Computer Science. “We have established a tradition of excellence in all of our club activities that prominently positions the college as an engineering and computer science powerhouse on the international stage.” The FAU COECS HPS team plans to compete in the 15th International Submarine Race, which will take place in June 2019 in Maryland.

Students Receive Scholarships from Community Foundation This year, 108 deserving students are fulfilling their educational dreams thanks to the donors of the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties. These students are the recipients of $1,069,500 in scholarships awarded by the organization. The Community Foundation has more than 100 scholarship funds, established by donors committed to education. Funds are often named in the memory of a loved one. The organization has awarded more than $11.5 million in scholarship grants since 1983, and helped 2,156 students, making it one of the largest providers of scholarships in the two counties. Students are evaluated by an advisory committee of board members

and community volunteers based on a written application, test scores, transcripts and interviews. Individual scholarships ranged in amounts from $600 to $60,000 this year and were awarded to students from 31 high schools. “We understand that many of our aspiring local students do not have the financial resources for a college education,” said Brad Hurlburt, president and CEO of the Community Foundation. “It is through the generosity of our donors that these dreams can become a reality, and we are extremely proud to be able to provide this service to the community. Offering much-needed scholarships to deserving students is a wonderful expression of philanthropy.”

PBSC Student Wins National Psychology Research Award When more than 10,000 psychologists and students convene at the 126th annual American Psychological Association convention in San Francisco on August 9, Jose Martinez will represent Palm Beach State College with distinction. The Dr. Floyd F. Koch Honors College student will attend as the first-place winner of the 2018 Anastasi Research Paper and Conference Travel Scholarship Competition, sponsored by Psi Beta, the community college national honor society in psychology. In addition to the all-expensespaid trip to the APA convention, Martinez will receive a $600 scholarship award. He is the first PBSC student to enter the competition, let alone win it. This is just the latest academic accomplishment for Martinez. This past spring, his research was accepted by the Georgia Undergraduate Research in Psychology Conference at Kennesaw State University. Solely representing Palm Beach State at the GURP conference, Martinez presented his research at a poster session, alongside undergraduate and graduate students from southeastern colleges and universities. The research paper looks at the relationship between dispositional narcissism and adult attachment styles. According to Ted Cascio, Ph.D., PBSC psychology professor and Psi Beta chapter advisor, it’s well-established that narcissists often don’t fare well in long-term romantic relationships, but researchers had yet to thoroughly investigate whether narcissists have different types of attachment patterns with their partners. As defined by the APA, attachment patterns are established in childhood, between a child and its caregivers, and set the general tone for future relationship patterns and interactions. “All of Jose’s research has involved human subjects, and that’s advanced for a sophomore,” said Cascio, who advised Martinez on the project. “Not only was his research sophisticated in terms of its methodology, he’s also been doing advanced statistics, correlation and multiple regression analyses involving moderators. Jose is very far ahead in terms of his research experience and the skill set that he has now.” Martinez will also present his research at the Psi Beta Student Research Poster Session at the APA convention and will receive an award certificate at a reception sponsored by Psi Beta and CABE, the APA’s Committee on Associate and Baccalaureate Education. Dr. Ted Cascio and Jose Martinez at 2018 PBSC Spring Graduation Dr. Ted Cascio and Jose Martinez celebrate at PBSC’s 2018 spring commencement ceremony. Martinez, who finishes his A.A. degree this summer, will attend FSU this fall. “This is a national competition, so I had high hopes, but realistic hopes,” Martinez said. “Being able to place anywhere in the top five would be an amazing accomplishment, and then I got the email saying that I won first place! This is a huge opportunity for me. I feel really proud to represent Palm Beach State College and proud of what I was able to do as a student here.” Martinez graduates this summer with an Associate in Arts degree and heads immediately to Florida State University as a junior psychology major. During his time

www.bocaratontribune.com

at PBSC, he held offices in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and the Honors Student Advisory Council, was co-president of PBSC’s Psi Beta chapter, and was one of six PBSC students named to the 2018 All-Florida Academic Team. He also received two PBSC awards this year, one for his service to the Psi Beta chapter and the Psychology Award for his research. A graduate of William T. Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens, Martinez, 20, was drawn to psychology when as a new PBSC student, he was struggling to decide on a career path. “I realized I had a social science prerequisite that I needed to fulfill, and I thought, ‘why not take psychology’—it has to do with the mind and cognitive processes, so I figured I’d try it out,” Martinez said. “Taking Professor Cascio’s class, just his manner of teaching is what really ultimately captured my interest and told me inside, ‘you know what, this is what I want to do.’ Whether it’s as a researcher or a professor down the road, I want to be in the field of psychology. I cannot say enough good things about [Cascio]. He’s not only been an amazing mentor, but I feel like he’s a good friend, too. He goes out of his way to help me. I’m thankful to have encountered Dr. Ted.” Martinez also recognizes the generous support of Professor Gisela Diaz, Ph.D., who oversaw another research project he completed, titled “Examining the Effects of Sleep Disorders on the Academic Life of Students in a Community College Setting: A Qualitative Study.” Diaz, who started PBSC’s Psi Beta chapter on the Palm Beach Gardens campus in 1998, notes that research is not generally done at the community college level, so having a student motivated to tackle both quantitative and qualitative approaches is unusual. “Identifying a problem, collecting data, analyzing the data and writing a report in a 16-week term is very difficult, but Jose had the initiative and drive. He is one of our academic stars.” Cascio agrees. “Jose has shown more initiative than I’ve ever seen in an undergraduate student. His work ethic is almost supernatural. He epitomizes the American dream—somebody who works hard and can be successful and make things happen as a result of that hard work. “To me, the big story here is that Jose has deftly and cleverly leveraged the resources of the College to improve his situation, which has forced me to try to keep up with him and his aspirations. His story highlights that excellent opportunities exist for meaningful research collaborations between students and faculty, which can help students achieve extraordinary things.” The encouragement of his professors has no doubt contributed to Martinez’s achievements and positive outlook. “Now when I encounter a struggle, whether it’s in class or just in life in general, I don’t like thinking that I can’t overcome it. There is a saying I tell myself: If it can be attempted, it can be done. Another thing that I tell myself is ‘why not me.’ I’ve received scholarships that I didn’t think I would get. I applied to the Honors College when I didn’t think I would get it in, and I submitted my research to different conferences. I might not get in, but at the end of the day I tell myself, ‘why not me’ and go for it.”

Despite the Chaos Around us, There are Still Some Samaritans Among us I was about to lose hope that there were no more good people in our community. However, my faith was restored, when recently I learned of the deeds of a few members of our community. The antics around the Beltway in Washington, D.C., have been dominating the headlines recently, resulting in local acts of kindness going unreported. Never-the-less, there is a small group of Samaritans who are changing lives for the better in southern Palm Beach County. It all began last year after eight local kids returned from a week-long Elks Lodge summer camp in Umatilla, near Eustis, in Marion County, and shared their fun and exciting experience with the Delray Beach city commissioners. Then interim city manager Neal DeJesus was so moved that he pledged to continue that experience this year. Between the city’s department heads and the Delray Beach Elks Lodge No. 1770, 20 students received manna from heaven - with an all-expense paid camp trip to a 400-acre property.

This was freedom from books, tests and the rigors of academia for one week. They learned team-building skills as they engaged in healthy competition, discovered and explored their talents, learned to accept responsibility and develop self-reliance as well as other skills necessary for a productive life. They all said it was fun. Under the leadership of Jamael Stewart, the city’s assistant director of Community Improvement Department, the students were selected based on good grades and conduct. Most were recommended by their principals. Parent Carmen Gomez labored hours entering pages of information on

each child into a database. As it neared crunch time, she worked until 4 a.m. to get everything done. There is so much work that goes into pulling off an event such as this. Where would we be without volunteers? There were volunteers who, until minutes before the vans pulled off, were at local urgent care centers ensuring that students received their shots and physical exams. The Parks and Recreation Department offered two vans and Community Improvement Department provided the drivers. First Transit - a subsidiary of FirstGroup America Inc. - which operates the city’s trolley service, hauled their

luggage. “The Elks and the City did this for them because we believe in the younger generation and it is a good way to spend the summer time,” said Capt. Michael Coleman, director of the Community Improvement Department. Only five of the 20 kids had previously traveled outside their city limits, including one who attended the camp last year. “I have never left Delray Beach, so I am looking forward to going to this camp,” a 12-year-old girl said. “Thank you sooo much….” The highlight for some was stopping at Golden Corral “where they had so much food to choose from”. While small kindnesses are often overlooked, they can have an enormous impact. Despite all the bad things happening in the world there are still kind people” good Samaritans” in our communities. C. Ron Allen can be reached at crallen@delraybeachtribune.com or 561665-0151.

POSITIVE LIVING By Dr. Synesio Lyra, Jr.

Do You Like Showing Up or Just Showing Off? There is a major difference between “showing up” and “showing off.” The first is primarily for the benefit of others though you, yourself, shall unquestionably also gain a lot by being present. The latter, however, is just a form of prideful exhibitionism of some sort. It’s also possible to combine the two for unworthy, selfish motives; you show up at certain events exclusively for the purpose of showing off; instead of thinking about any good you can bring to a public event, even if merely on account of your personal presence, you only anticipate the opportunities for

July 27 - August 2, 2018

self-advertising! You show your face at places and events in the expectation of the praise and applause of others, instead of a genuine interest for the happening occurring, which you are visiting! Showing off is something easy to detect, and it’s not a quality ever appreciated by those who observe it, even when no word is said about it. Actually, it leaves a bad taste in those who accurately recognize your intentions and selfish motives. People don’t need to stand in judgment to ascertain that such is the case because it is most obvious from the start!

Showing up, on the other hand, is something generally welcome and appreciated by others, especially those who may have issued the invitation for one’s presence and/or participation at an event, a home visit, or a meeting of some kind. Your presence, in such cases, denotes that you value the occasion and those who extended their hospitality to you! There are times when showing up may also take place apart from any personal invitation received. The knowledge of a friend or neighbor being infirm at a hospital can inspire you to make a visit, which is deeply appreciated

www.bocaratontribune.com

by the patient and the family. Reading the obituary of someone from a family you know, and showing up for the service, brings comfort to those mourning, along with their tremendous gratitude to you which they’ll retain for a long time. Cases can be multiplied very easily. The important distinction is for you to recognize the value of showing up at varied happenings, while avoiding showing off at any time or situation which will never upgrade your status but it can certainly diminish it!

Breaking Up is hard to do at Stage Door Theater

Each One Of Us Is ‘Interim’ Often when the CEO or president of a company or an organization leaves for whatever reason, an “interim” leader is appointed to fill the gap until a permanent successor can be named. It does not matter whether the former executive has retired, died, left to take a new job, resigned, or was fired – someone must step forward to serve on an interim basis until the owners or board of directors can evaluate possible candidates for the job. We frequently see a rash of these “interim” appointments during a sports season, for example, when unsuccessful coaches are terminated and someone else is appointed to finish the remainder of the year. Then, in most cases, a different individual is selected to take on the role on a permanent basis. In reality – even though we might be reluctant to admit it – we are all “interim,” No matter how old we are, or how well we are performing in our job, we will not be there forever. Someone else was doing the work before we arrived – unless you are the head of your own start-up company – and one day we will be gone, leaving all the responsibilities to someone else. This can be a sobering realization. I think of the newspapers I served as the editor, as well as my years at CBMC, when I was editor and director of various publications. During my tenures, I felt I was doing a good job, but even those “permanent” roles came to an end. In fact, the newspapers I directed editorially, along with the magazine, are no longer being published, so they were “interim” as well. What are we to do with this knowledge? Do we simply resign our-

selves to a “here today, gone tomorrow” mindset and muddle through our jobs one day at a time? Instead, I would suggest taking a carpe diem approach: “seize the day.” Make the most of opportunities presented to us, do the best we possibly can, and hopefully leave things better for those that follow us. The Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes reminds us that everything – even life itself – ultimately is interim. “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot…a time to tear down and a time to build…a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them up…” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). After making these observations, the author of Ecclesiastes, King Solomon, states, “What does the worker gain from his toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on men. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men, yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live…. Whatever is has already been, and what will be has been before; and God will call the past to account”(Ecclesiastes 3:9-15). Rather than adopting a fatalistic attitude, we can acknowledge our “interim” status while striving to do our best in serving our organizations, stakeholders, employees, coworkers, customers and ultimately, God. “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom” (Ecclesiastes 9:10).

By Robert S Weinroth With the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School fresh in people’s minds, alarm bells should be going off at the School Boards in all 67 of Florida’s counties (particularly Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties) as the upcoming Primary and Special Election in Boca Raton are a little over a month away on August 28th. Even before the murder of seventeen students in Parkland, Election Supervisors in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties had been lobbying to make August 28th either a teachers’ workday or closing the schools entirely. Schools in all three counties will be closed for the General Election on Tuesday November 6th but will be open on primary day. One of the lessons learned from the events of February 14th was our school campuses must be hardened, making more difficult for individuals bent on causing a disruption to the learning of our students, to gain access. However, over 300 schools in Broward and Palm Beach counties will be polling places during the upcoming primary. That will mean hundreds of people will be coming and going at each school, supporting candidates with their signs and literature and casting their ballots. It is inconceivable that the safety of our children is not being deemed an overriding consideration when weighed against the loss of academic time. Clearly, if a tropical storm was barreling down on

South Florida, the safety of students and staff would be deemed more important than the loss of class time. In addition to the obvious security concerns with having a large number of voters on campus along with the students, the process of drop-off and pickup by parents (already a stressful operation given the number of vehicles involved) will be impacted by the voters driving to the schools, trying to vote before going to work. So, barring a last minute change of heart, while voters participate in Democratic and Republican primaries for US Senate, Florida Governor and many other offices as well as the nonpartisan elections to pick school board members, judges and in Boca Raton a mayor and council member, students will be on campus, notwithstanding the elevated level of concerns being raised by parents. In the end, the insistence on keeping the schools open will likely place extra pressures on the county sheriffs and police departments to beef up security during the period of the election to protect the election process while ensuring the students remain safe. The ultimate solution may require the attention of our state legislative delegation. State Representative Matt Willhite (D-Wellington), has indicated, if re-elected, he will likely introduce a bill requiring schools throughout the state to be closed for primaries, municipal and general elections. However, absent support from Republicans, who hold a majority of the seats in both chambers of the legislature, there is little likelihood the proposal will gain the necessary traction to be enacted.

SPORTS Singletary is a Walter Camp Award Candidate

Florida Atlantic University football running back Devin Singletary, about to embark on his junior campaign, added another preseason accolade to his resume Friday with inclusion on the Walter Camp Player of the Year award watch list. Singletary, the 2017 Conference USA Football MVP and the program’s first ever Associated Press All-American, is one of 50 “players to watch” as announced by the Walter Camp Football Foundation. The list will be narrowed to 10 semifinalists in mid-November, and the 2018 Walter Camp Player of the Year recipient will be announced live on ESPN on Thursday, Dec. 6. This honor has been given out

since 1967. Singletary joins two other Conference USA players recognized Friday, alongside North Texas quarterback Mason Fine and UAB running back Spencer Brown. This preseason has seen multiple Owls being put up for multiple awards on various NFCAA Watch Lists, and this marks the third for Singletary, in addition to the Maxwell Award and the Doak Walker Award. The 2018 FAU football season is just over a month away, with the first game scheduled for noon on Saturday, Sept. 1 at Oklahoma. The home opener is a week later, on Sept. 8, with the Owls hosting Air Force at 2 p.m. at FAU Stadium

With Time as an Owl Winding Down, Cardona Looks to End Her Impressive Career on Top

Since stepping onto FAU’s campus during the summer of 2015, Alex Cardona has transformed from a role player into an explosive defensive specialist. The rising senior’s grit and relentless effort has not only amazed both fans and teammates but also has landed her in the FAU record books. As Cardona’s time as an Owl winds down, she is looking to end her impressive career with the Owls the only way she knows how — on top. The Kissimmee native’s love affair with volleyball began at 13 when she joined the Orlando Tampa Volleyball Academy. Some of her fondest childhood memories were with the team travelling to new, exciting cities. Club season was a family affair with Cardona parents often travelling with the team to see both Alex and her younger sister play. By the time Cardona entered high school at City of Life Christian Academy, she was a decorated prep star at the outside hitter position. She made the school’s varsity team in the eighth grade, lettering in all five seasons with the team. She was a four-time all-county selection and team MVP. She was also twice named the Osceola County Player of the Year. Cardona, who graduated from a small Christian academy, admits her first few months in Boca served as a culture shock. My graduating class had 45 kids. At FAU a regular class was anywhere between 50 to 200 students,” Cardona says. As a freshman, she appeared in 25 sets over 16 matches in a backup role. She recorded a season-high five digs against Bethune-Cookman and tallied three digs against FIU. Cardona considers her freshman year a learning experience. Being able to appear in matches, even if it wasn’t in a starting role allowed her to gain invaluable insight about the player she wanted to be. “Freshman year set the bar of what I needed to improve on to become a better player and teammate,” Cardona says. While visiting home that summer, she worked out every day, practicing drills to transform her game in all aspects. She believes her improvement on serve receive is what set her aside during her sophomore year. During the 2017 season, Cardona returned to the Owls a different player. She quickly became a vocal leader for the team, always encouraging both younger and older

www.bocaratontribune.com

teammates to strive for greatness in each match. She also became a more aggressive player and was well rewarded when she saw more consistent playing time. “Going into the second year, I put the freshman mentality aside. There were no excuses this time around,” Cardona reflects. “I knew I had to step my game up.” She appeared in 75 sets over 23 matches. She had nine digs in the Owls season-opener against Bethune-Cookman and a then career-high 16 digs against UAB. She also registered back-to-back doubledigit dig matches against Rice and North Texas. As Cardona, now an upperclassman entered the 2017 season she knew it was time to take the reigns and take control of the backcourt. “I knew how to balance school and volleyball, and it was my chance to make my mark on the court,” Cardona says. Last season, Cardona truly cemented herself as a force to be reckoned with. She catapulted into a superstar for the Owls, solidifying the starting libero role, leading the team in digs. Her 424 digs were the fourth-highest single season total in FAU history. She had 24 double-digit dig matches including a career-high 29 digs against Rice. She also had 25 digs, four assists and three service aces against North Dakota State. When asked how she plans on keeping last season’s momentum, she modestly said she was flattered by the recognition, but she is far from her peak. “It’s an honor to be recognized with accomplishments. But it just foreshadows how hard I have to work in order to improve and beat last year’s stats,” Cardona says. For those who know Cardona, it’s no surprise that when I asked her what she wanted to accomplish during her final season, her answer emphasized helping her team win as opposed to receiving personal accolades. “I want to help the team win conference. I want my other teammates to have similar goals and aspirations by my example,” Cardona says. She sheepishly added, “It would be nice to win Conference Libero of the Year.” Looking back on her career with the Owls, Cardona describes the experience of playing the game she loves at a Division 1 level as the best four years of her life. “I have grown so much from freshman year to now,” Cardona says.

Lynn Women’s Tennis Earns ITA Academic Recognition Lynn University’s women’s tennis team demonstrated its academic prowess by earning Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team honors on Tuesday along with seven ITA Scholar-Athlete awards. In all, 735 teams and 4,328 student-athletes across all five divisions of college tennis were honored. The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letter winners were factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2017 and spring 2018). This marks the eighth consecutive year the program has earned ITA AllAcademic Team accolades and is the fifth straight year with at least five individuals named Scholar-Athletes. Mizner 200 (Monarch) - a 1,000 linear foot development approved for Mizner Blvd. south of Palmetto Park Road

As Publisher of BocaWatch, Al Zucaro has led the fight against overdevelopment and its impact on our quality of life. Al’s opponent, Scott Singer, has voted for every single development project except one! Partial list of Singer YES votes: * Tower 155 5201 Congress Mizner 200 (Monarch) 5500 Broken Sound Fairway Commons Via Mizner Boca Colonnade 475 Royal Palm 375 Royal Palm Boca Highlands 6700 North Congress Spanish River Highlands 900 Broken Sound 1 South Ocean Many of these projects have yet to break ground. Despite the public outcry, Singer continues to approve one development project after the next, while taking campaign contributions from these same developers.

It’s time we elect a truly resident-friendly Mayor.
