Oxford Fashion Week has quickly become one of the largest and most prestigious events to feature on Britain’s annual fashion calendar. A series of high impact and high profile headline shows provide the central core of the programme. Ranging from conceptual fashion to haute couture, these bring to the catwalk the very best avant-garde and cutting edge creations, as well as iconic masterpieces from the world’s leading fashion houses. A whole host of supporting events supplement the headline shows. These include a variety of shopping experiences, exhibitions, live music and talks from eminent bodies in the fashion industry. Spread over seven days across a range of incredible venues, Oxford will be the go-to destination for fashion lovers and industry leaders this November.
Having enjoyed exponential growth since its inauguration in 2009, OFW continues to expand both the scope and scale of its events programme. Attracting both national and regional press, OFW serves as a destination point for fashion-savvy members of the public as well as stylists, buyers, bloggers and key opinion makers from around the globe. The number of participants is rapidly increasing. A diverse selection of creatives and industry professionals are eager to take part, seeking to associate their name with both the city and the event.
Renowned for emerging design talent and established brands alike, OFW aims to educate, empower and inspire all those with a passion for fashion. Dedicated to showcasing the latest collections from some of the world’s most sought after designers, names such as Alexander McQueen, Matthew Williamson and Valentin Yudashkin have all graced OFW catwalks in recent years. While OFW celebrates leading fashion icons, it is also widely acclaimed for the support it gives to both young and emerging designers. By providing a platform to showcase new talent, OFW enables these designers to gain exposure amongst key opinion makers in the fashion industry.
As one of the world's most iconic cities Oxford is perfectly placed to host a fashion week of the very highest calibre. It is no secret that London - alongside Paris, New York and Milan - is heralded as one of the top four fashion capitals in the world. Whilst we are proud of our neighbours’ achievements, we believe it is time for another great British city to achieve renown within the global fashion industry. In making this a reality, OFW aims to enhance Britain’s profile as a world leader in design and innovation.
