TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE CAVES? -
One of the other phenomenal experiences that you can come across at Coastline Coasteer on a low tide are the freshly exposed caves waiting for you to explore. Enter Gollum’s Cave for one of the best adventures of your life; you will find it bursting at the seams with vibrant marine life! Beadlet and Strawberry anemones will greet you all around, and the orange breadcrumb sponge, a single living organism plastering the entire roof of the cave, may reveal some unusual culinary delights! Then be amazed by the smugglers’ tales and spooky feel to some of these deep, dark and mysterious areas.

Newquay Activity Centre focus on safety -
Safety is our number one priority at Coastline Coasteer, which is why we haverigorous in-house training for all our instructors. You’ll start your activity at the centre, filling out our enrolment forms to identify any medical or health issues our coaches need to be aware of for the activity. Still in the warmth of the centre, you will be kitted out in two wetsuits to keep you safe from the rocks and keep you protected from the cold. Helmets and thicksoled trainers protect you during entry into the water and from the craggy coastline, and buoyancy aids keep you afloat and reduce the effort of swimming. At the start of the course, a short two-minute walk from the centre, a concise safety briefing will be delivered by our highly trained coaches, explaining what coasteering is, what you will do on this activity, safety signals from instructor to client, but also client to instructor so you know you’ll always know how to get attention in the dynamic marine environment. You will learn how to enter the water safely from all levels, how to exit the water safely and defensively during swells and understand the comfort the equipment worn by the coaches can provide to your safety in the water. At all times, it is paramount to us that you are comfortable with the activity and the coaches, and at any time during the course, you can opt out.

On our team at Coastline Coasteer, we have senior coaches and technical advisors who introduced coasteering to Newquay over 15 years ago. They plotted the routes, and exit and entry points that all coasteering across Newquay now uses, so no one knows the environment more closely than our team. Our centre is closer to the routes than any other in Newquay, with our own heated changing rooms, separate for males and females, keeping you warm and dry. Our highly trained instructors undergo rigorous
checked and decommissioned when we see fit. We are one of the only companies to have opted for AALA (Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority) status, which acts as the ‘activity world’s Ofsted’. We are constantly checked and highly commended for our comprehensive safety-training regime. We are also Number 1 on Trip Advisor, thanks to the fantastic experience delivered by all members of the Coastline Coasteer team! We are exceptionally proud of this achievement.
