DAS GREENHAUS ANNOUNCES GRAND OPENING

DDas GreenHaus, Kendall County’s first business incubator, officially opened its doors with the location of its first business tenant, Locoal. Das GreenHaus’ Founding Partners celebrated with an event that featured Locoal’s leadership team and gave a first look at the innovative space.

Das GreenHaus is a 501(c)(3) public-private non-profit located in Boerne, Texas whose mission is to foster the community of innovators to grow Kendall County’s entrepreneurial vision. Das GreenHaus offers the space, services, and programming for entrepreneurs and startup companies to succeed. The 4,800 squarefoot facility has private offices, flexible workspaces, conference/ training rooms, and provides access to a maker space. Located at 7 Upper Balcones in Boerne with convenient access to I-10, Das GreenHaus offers business mentorship, educational workshops, and networking events. The goal of Das GreenHaus is to help startup companies grow, create jobs, and have a positive economic and cultural impact on Kendall County.

The Founding Partners event held at Das GreenHaus recognized the many local businesses and individuals who contributed to the launch of the incubator as well as the City of Boerne. Founding Partners also had the opportunity to meet Das GreenHaus’ first tenant, Locoal, a sustainable tech company that combines hardware and software to create innovative solutions for the environmental challenges of our time and whose team consists of veterans who have served in various branches of the military and have a passion for technology and sustainability. Locoal’s mission is to make a positive impact on the planet and the people who live on it.

Locoal CEO, Miles Murray stated “The culture of innovation starts at the local community. Das GreenHaus brings together much of the needed support structures that early-stage technology companies need to succeed.”

Das GreenHaus launched through a collaboration between the Boerne Kendall County Economic Development Corporation and the Boerne Kendall County Angel Network.
