The Hill Country’s Source for Maternity Wear, Children’s
Clothing & So Much More! F by Lauren Stumberg | photos by Ron Pritchett From blankets to bows and swaddles to swag, everywhere you turn inside of Mommy 2B there is something fun for moms and babies! Whether you are looking for that perfect baby shower present, have a little one on the way or need a special outfit for your child, this Boerne boutique is sure to have what you are looking for.
Megan Baird and Aimee Zrzavy are the sisters behind Mommy 2B and work hard to fill their store with items that are both high quality and stylish. The local boutique was inspired by Baird’s struggle to find maternity clothes locally during her pregnancy and the sisters decided to join forces and fill this much needed void in the local marketplace. They dove in and did lots of brand research to be able to bring Boerne and the hill country a spot where they could get the best of both maternity and baby products. The store was opened Labor Day weekend of 2018.
For the expectant mommy, the store carries everything from clothing and intimates to swimsuits, compression garments, hospital robes, workout apparel, nursing pillows and even stretch mark creams and lotions. According to Zrzavy, 16 Boerne Business Monthly | June 2020

“Our maternity and nursing clothing is both stylish and comfortable. We have even had many women that aren’t pregnant come to the store for baby gifts and end up purchasing some of our maternity or nursing clothes because they are that cute!”
For the babies and small children, Mommy 2B has boutique style clothing from newborn to 5T. You will find everything from sleepers and gowns continued on page 18
Fun Fact:
Look for the redbirds throughout the store! Found within the logo and around the store, these redbirds are more than decorations. Megan and Aimee’s mom always told them growing up when they saw a redbird that is was their granny. Their mom passed away a few years back and the sisters now see the redbirds as a reminder that even though their granny and mom may have passed, they are still with them.
to casual cool t-shirts and hats and even adorable outfits fit for a special occasion! “To help your little one beat the Texas summer heat we have plenty of adorable kids swimwear, goggles and hats on hand too,” added Megan. “And be sure to check us out this fall for Halloween costumes and special holiday attire!”
Mommy 2B has plenty of accessories on hand for the little ones as well. “We have tons of adorable bows, burp cloths, bibs, books, lots of teething items like the Munch Mitt, Chewbeads and The Teething Egg. We even carry the sterling silver earrings, necklaces and bracelets for the little ones,” said Aimee. “One of our most popular lines we carry is Posh Peanut. These products are so soft and the prints are adorable. They have everything from knotted gowns and swaddles to crib sheets and mommy robes.”
A fun surprise inside of this maternity and baby boutique is that they also carry a large selection of unique accessories for women as well! According to Megan, “We carry these amazing leather and cowhide bags from Stone Feather Road and they even designed Mommy 2B our very own “Mommy Bag” that is beautiful on the outside and waterproof on the inside!” There is also a large selection of belts, wooden and beaded earrings and even handmade, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces from Western Vintage Revival and Stone Feather Road.
Mommy 2B also offers baby shower registries for expectant mothers to be able to let their friends and family know just what they need and want for their new bundle of joy! Gift cards are also available!
The store is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00am to 5:30pm. “We are also still offering porch pickups and private shopping outside of our regular store hours during this time. And of course we are sanitizing regularly and offer hand sanitizer at the front door upon entry,” said Zrzavy. “Our customers’ health and safety is our top priority.”
Megan and Aimee grew up in Boerne, having moved here in in 1984. “We are both graduates of Boerne High School and love that we get to now be apart of the local Boerne retail community. We hope to not only bring an outstanding selection of maternity and children’s clothing and accessories, but also superb customer service, giving locals one more reason to shop local!” BBM

Always use the Organizing Signs when working on any organizing project to help differentiate your belongings (Keep Donate, Other Room, Recycle, Sell). One cabinet, one drawer, one shelf at a time until you are completely done and everything has a home.
TIP: Remove all items that do not belong in an office.
MAINTAINING AND KEEPING PAPERWORK UNDER CONTROL. Keeping paperwork from piling up and getting out of control is the number one complaint from most of my clients. Here are a few tips to keep it under control: • Set aside 10 to 15 minutes each day to sort mail so that it doesn’t overwhelm you at the end of the week. File by: Read, Action Needed (i.e.: return a phone call, RSVP to an invitation, set appointments, respond to correspondence) and File. • Use trays to organize mail and papers that come across your desk using the above files. • Immediately throw away junk mail. • After reading important and relevant mail and taking action, shred any mail with personal information. Fellowes makes a shredder for any budget and can be found at Target, Walmart and most office supply stores. Keep a small box near your desk to store paperwork for shredding. Mark your calendar weekly to remind you of this task. • Magazines, once you have read them either recycle them or if you keep them a few months, use magazine file boxes to store them. Newsletters, catalogs and magazines can also be stored in magazine file boxes. These file boxes can sit on top of a file cabinet; label each file box for easy reference.
TIP: If you accidentally recycle or giveaway a magazine, you can always call or order it online, magazines archive them for years.
• Weekly maintenance like the ones above are good habits to keep you organized. The key to staying organized is creating habits, they will soon become a daily routine and you won’t even realize you are staying organized!
FILING SYSTEMS SHOULD BE KEPT SIMPLE. There are many filing systems available. I continued on page 29 boernebusinessmonthly.com 19
