Welcome to the 13th Annual Anchor B / B Bar / Carpenter Limousin Bull Sale! We are certainly glad to be a part of this sale with our good friends the Bohrsons and Carpenters. We strive to produce bulls that are docile, deep ribbed, eye appealing, have hair yet still maintain what the breed is known for! Once again this year’s group is led by the Wulfs Tibon sire group. All were born unassisted, sound structured, quiet in their demeanor and have good scrotal development. Our 2013 calf crop was long awaited as it featured the first calves of Anchor B “The Boss”, the $20,000 Powerhouse whom topped the Limousin breed in 2012. “The Boss” was promoted as, “The thickest bull we have ever sold – muscle mass, huge topped, with masculinity” and he has not disappointed. After purchasing “The Boss” as a yearling in 2012 we put him to work walking the pastures, breeding 30 heifers & cows. Later that fall, he captured Reserve Champion Bull at Canadian Western Agribition. In 2013 “The Boss” did it again, breeding cows & heifers another successful campaign saw him capture Reserve Champion Bull at Canadian Western Agribition again. You will see consistently throughout his progeny - depth of body, hair coats, easy doing, & good testicular development. ANCHOR B LIMOUSIN We continue with a small embryo program in an effort to further enhance our cowherd, however keep having bulls. But when the bulls continue to be this good, we can’t complain. The breeding this year was Anchor B Poll Kari 4K whom is a favorite for us as she is an easy doing, performance female. We mated her to RPY Paynes Elvis who has proven himself as a moderate birthweight, eye appealing, easy doing bull that is homo polled. The result as you see are 3 polled performance based bulls that catch your eye. Birthweights were acceptable for our donor cows as the only assisted delivery was the 76lb JBH 26A (twin).
