6th Annual Simmental Bull Sale Welcome to my 6th annual bull sale along with guest consignor Kuzio Farms. What a good year 2013 was, with bumper crops, and good pasture and forage production. A year ago we had a ton of snow and we have a fair bit again. So it looks like another good year coming. Only difference now compared to a year ago, cattle prices are record high. Hats off to all the producers that have stayed in the business and continued through these past 10 years to buy good bulls. They are now positioned to reap the reward they so justly deserve. With grain prices having dropped dramatically and a shortage of beef cattle in North America, the beef producers are in the driver’s seat! The bull pen is as strong as ever. The red and red blaze bulls are smokin’ hot. The :HW 'UHDP DQG 5HG &KLHI DUH DV JRRG DV \RX¡OO ÀQG DQ\ZKHUH 7KH\ DUH ORQJ ZLGH topped, deep ribbed, big butted bulls with moderate birth weights. The Gambler calves have a ton of style, thickness and extra calving ease. The Skor Red Dream On calves are deep dark cherry red also with extra calving ease. The fullbloods are thick made, good haired bulls, as are the blacks and they will both add value to their new owners herds. The bulls, as always, are raised on a high roughage diet to promote overall health and longevity. All my bulls have been on a full health program as well as been vaccinated with fusoguard.
