Bulls available for viewing at Mankota Stockmen’s Weigh Co, Wednesday, March 27th until sale time. Bulls are available for viewing anytime prior to that at the ranch located 10 miles south of Val Marie, Sk.

DELIVERY

Free delivery from the yards to a 300 mile radius for purchases of $3500 and over. Bulls will be delivered starting after the sale. It is recommended to insure all bulls returning to the ranch.

SIGHT UNSEEN

We would love to have you with us; however we do understand how busy things can get around the ranch. Our sight unseen program is simple. Call Colt in advance and we will discuss your needs, cowherd, goals, budget and which bull or bulls will work best for you. Many of our bulls have been marketed this way in the past.

SEMEN COLLECTION

Cowtrax reserves the right to collect unlimited semen off any bull in the sale at their expense and the buyers convenience. Any retained semen interests are negotiable please call if you wish to discuss.

U.S.A. BUYERS

We welcome U.S. customers and will handle necessary health, export papers and delivery within a 300 mile radius of the yards at a $200 cost. U.S. funds will be accepted at the Rate of Exchange current on sale day.

WOW, 10 years goes by fast! It is a real pleasure to welcome you to our 10th Annual Grasslands Bull & FEMALE sale! I said by the time we get to our 10th sale I will be ready to add some heifers, so on offer are 8 Registered females as well as 15 commercial heifers! We are pleased to be offering these bulls with our friends the Holbrook and Hanson families. I would like to thank them for all the hard work and dedication they put into making this sale a go with us. As well as a huge thanks to the many helping hands that get these cattle from their first suck all the way to their new home, the help is greatly appreciated!

Our goal is to progressively offer a product each and every year that was better than the last. I believe the offering truly represents that, from the quality of the bulls to many ET and AI sons from our very best females. There are bulls with calving ease, high performance, bulls with lots of hair, length and stoutness, they walk on a good foundation of feet and legs and our most important are backed by excellent quality females on both sides of their pedigree.

The offering is highlighted by 20 powerful, rugged sons of HF Mastermind 98H, a Showman son stemming from some of the greatest Tibbie females in the Hamilton herd. As well as HF Alcatraz 60F sons in volume that have gained worldwide attention and seeing how well these daughters are producing is icing on the cake. More high growth bulls sired by Cowtrax Cast Away 11F, Remitall F Historic 323H and some outcross proven bulls used in our embryo program. We purchased Alcatraz from Hamilton Farms in 2019 at a Canadian record for $200,000 for ½ interest with our friends at Bar-E-L Angus. Alcatraz checks all the boxes. He is so sound with a perfect foot, powerful, lots of muscle shape, hair and a very docile temperament. He has also become our go to heifer bull that won’t sacrifice pounds in the fall! His daughters are raising some of our very best calves which has earned him his final mark of approval. Alcatraz was sold this past fall to Lindskov’s LT Ranch in South Dakota so sons will be limited in the future, collect them while you can, you’ll be happy you did!

He is a son of the calving ease specialist Capitalist 316 and his mothers pedigree includes low birth, high maternal sires Connealy Thunder and Leachman Right Time. When you talk about balance in bull Charger comes to mind, he is very hard to fault. He stands on great feet with extra heel depth, moves effortlessly, has extra length and look, with adequate middle and muscle. He consistently produces low birthed progeny suitable for your heifers.

Mainly because of the excellent females he comes from, his dam Tibbie 14D is absolutely massive with a perfect udder, grand dam Tibbie 77Z is apart of 3 flush sisters who have sent multiple bulls into purebred operations, and great grand dam Tibbie 100M was a Farmfair and Agribition Champion! Mastermind is a power bull with a big top and huge hip, with added heel depth on his foot. His sons are some of the biggest, stoutest bulls we have ever raised yet most with a mid range birth weight. His first daughters calved this winter with very nice udders and look great. We anxiously await the impact they will have on our herd.

Richard toured us through the cows and 3 that are found at the forefront of his pedigree were my favorites that day. His dam Tibbie 14F was beautiful as you can make them extra length, femininity, then we saw his grand dam, Wow she was a tank, both with perfect udders. His sire Renown 312F was my pick the year he sold, then we saw his mother who was great again. With his kind of power backed by generations of excellent females it was a no brainer he is the kind we needed. His first sons are just what we were hoping for, very stout, good footed, fault free cattle.

Since Poncho was 2 weeks old he was catching the eyes of everyone who toured all the way until when he weaned as our heaviest bull at 860 pounds on another dry year! He is easy doing, big ribbed, deep and wide, with a ton of character and a proud look. His dam was as ideal as we have ever owned with perfect feet and udder, to her overall mass combined with a feminine front.
